I hear that Boris, wife Carrie and their children have moved into a luxury cottage generously offered by the owners Lord and Lady Bamford on their Daylesford Estate in the Cotswolds.
Last month, Boris – who muttered ‘Them’s the breaks’ when he gave his resignation speech in Downing Street – stated on a Commons register that he received £10,000 in housing from the JCB boss and his wife.

Now, his latest spending reveals that he has received a further £3,500 in accommodation from the couple, suggesting he and Carrie are in no rush to leave.
Plus, they know the estate well – it’s where they held their wedding party earlier this year.
But their arrival isn’t the only exciting development on the 3,500-acre estate, home to Britain’s fanciest farm shop, as Lady Bamford, 76, prepares to open her new private members’ club.
Of The Club by Bamford, which will welcome its first guests in early 2023, she says: ‘My dream of The Club stems from a long-standing belief in the power of wellness.’
In addition to a pool, gym, and high-octane spinning studio, the club offers restorative treatments such as intravenous IV therapy and cryotherapy.
Socialite Chloe Delevingne is among those on the organizing committee who Lady Bamford says will play a “critical role” in shaping the club.

Members could be many familiar faces from the Chipping Norton set, including David Cameron, the Beckhams and Jeremy Clarkson.
