EMILY PRESCOTT: Charli Howard launches a foul-mouthed rant on the return of super-thin models to the runway, claiming ‘being thin isn’t a trend’

She spent last week partying with Kate Moss, who famously made the famous statement that ‘nothing tastes as good as feeling skinny’, but model Charli Howard is hitting back at the return of super-thin models to the catwalks.

In recent months, more waif-esque women have appeared at top fashion shows, as models previously known for their fuller figures have begun to lose weight. It prompted the New York Post to declare, “Bye-bye loot: Heroin chic is back.”

“Being skinny isn’t a trend,” raged Charli, 31, recalling how she used to go to great lengths to be slim. She revealed that as a result of her restricted diet, her hair was falling out, her gums were bleeding and she was unable to breathe as she walked upstairs. Yet fashion bookers told her she wasn’t thin enough.

One of the models who sparked the heroin chic debate is Bella Hadid. But Charli, who attends Diet Coke’s 40th anniversary party, adds: “Women like Bella are like athletes — they’re a rarity. As beautiful as she is, most women don’t look like her.’

Serious TV for Gordon’s girl

He appeared on Gogglebox with his daughter Tilly. Now cursing chef Gordon Ramsay is planning a very different TV project with one of his other kids.

He is financing and producing a sex education documentary called The Talk, fronted by his daughter Holly, 22.

Staff have been invited to join Holly with her father, “on a very personal journey as she opens up about the implications of sexual violence, as she examines the epidemic from the male perspective and examines the stigma surrounding sex education.”

Aristo magician Archie Manners was branded a threat to national security after staging a stunt in which a bunch of professional athletes ran a half marathon in Terminal 5 at Heathrow.

The runners booked cheap flights and went through security, then changed into Lycra and left around the halls.

Archie, 29, posted a video of the bizarre event but received a message from airport officials threatening police action.

Luckily, they saw the funny side after Archie agreed to blur parts of the airport’s more sensitive areas.
