Emily won’t be competing in that outfit at the Paris Olympics for a while. But luckily actress Lily Collins got another shot at gold – with a bit of ‘French’ courage.
The 35-year-old Emily In Paris star competed in a race with American heptathlete Anna Hall to open bottles of ‘champere’, the champagne brand her character works with in the Netflix series.
In a video posted to social media, Collins proposes a “friendly competition” to Ms. Hall, 23. Pointing to the actress’s four-inch Ferragamo wedges, a bewildered Ms. Hall asks: “Are you going to run in those heels?”
Mrs. Collins replies, “Into these bad boys? Don’t tempt me. I’ve done it before, but no. Who said anything about running?”
She then rolls a cart with two bottles of bubbly over to Mrs. Hall and says, “Let’s see who can open their bottle of champagne the fastest.”

Mrs Hall appears to have the advantage first, but is overtaken by Mrs Collins who is the first to pull her cork
As the pair race to uncork their drinks, the Olympian initially has the advantage, being the first to tear off the foil. But Mrs. Collins catches up, pops the cork and cheers as the bubbles explode.
Ms Hall, who played against Team GB’s Katarina Johnson-Thompson last night, pleaded with her: ‘Please don’t tell anyone you beat me.’
Mrs. Collins whispers, “It’ll be our little secret,” before taking her for a photo.
Yesterday, Collins posted a message on Instagram to her 28 million followers: ‘Emily and Anna in Paris.
“So much fun shooting this with Olympic athlete and all-around badass Anna Hall. If you haven’t been following along, tune in to cheer her on in Paris!”

During the photoshoot for US network NBC, Collins wore a black sequined beret, a £4,900 Valentino rose skirt and a £263 tie from the same fashion house.
Other clips show her touching up her lipstick and dancing in front of a green screen of the Eiffel Tower.
Apparently, Ms. Collins’ new outfit is a more “simple” wardrobe for her character on the series, which returns for its fourth season on Thursday.
She said last week: ‘I’ve found more of myself in Emily this season. Taking more risks in fashion, being more understated and minimalistic – which is riskier for Emily – but closer to home for me.’
