The actress ditched her character’s bright and quirky fashion sense and opted for a more subdued look as she wrapped up in a brown trench coat.

Lily kept it casual in black wide leg trousers and white trainers as she headed out without make-up.

The Netflix star, 35, completed the look with a burgundy scarf and sunglasses and made her way through the market before purchasing a book from Special Rider Books & Records.

Along with her friends, Lily appeared in good spirits as she stopped to take photos with fans after the latest series of the hit comedy-drama series came to an end earlier this month.

After fans had to wait three whole weeks for the second half of the season to hit the streaming platform, the show took a surprise dip away from Paris as Emily enjoyed a sunny getaway to Rome.

With her love life once again at the forefront, fans were left guessing whether Emily would rekindle her romance with Gabriel, or start a new life across Europe with handsome Italian newcomer Marcello.

For much of the new episodes, it seemed like Emily’s romance with Gabriel was finally over, as he grew increasingly uneasy about his close relationship with his “pregnant” ex Camille.

However, just hours after Emily broke off their romance and prematurely ended her festive trip to the French Alps, Camille finally confessed to Gabriel that she never expected this.

Earlier this month, Lily confirmed that Emily in Paris will return for season five, much to fans’ delight.

Appearing on Good Morning America she revealed: ‘For the first time I can talk about the fact that there will be a season five.

“We all found this out on our own, so this is brand new for everyone. I’m very excited.’

Emily in Paris season four part two arrived on September 12 and followed Emily as she galloped through the Italian capital Rome.

Speaking of the new location, Lily expressed her hope that she and the rest of the crew will see more of Italy next season.

“We’re exploring Rome and I really hope we get to see more of Italy for season five,” she said.

‘We just had the best time. The whole cast felt a bit like Emily was running around town wide-eyed in season one and everything was just so exciting.”

She also opened up about what it was like working with France’s first lady Brigitte Macron after she made a cameo appearance in the show’s fourth series.

“It was a huge honor,” she said. ‘It was also so surprising that she really loved the show and really wanted to be a part of it.

“She invited Darren [Star] and I to have a conversation with her a few years ago about the show and what it did for France and Paris.

“She did her cameo in part one, season one, with joke and humor and we all found a way for her to be a part of it and come to the set and she improvised and it was, she and her improvisation made it into the show .’
