The stars of Emily In Paris came together for a cast photo ahead of the highly anticipated launch of the fourth season of the Netflix hit.

Lily Collins, 35, who plays the title role of Emily Cooper, was joined by her best friend Ashley Park and her character’s love interest Lucien Laviscount.

The actress looked chic in a plunging brown top, paired with a brown midi skirt, sheer tights and black pumps.

While Emily typically sports long, shiny locks on the popular series, Emily showed off her understated new bob in the photos.

The series features a mix of new and familiar faces, including Emily’s former boss Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu as Sylvie Grateau and Lucas Bravo as Gabriel.

Other returning stars include: Camille Razat as Camille, Samuel Arnold as Julien, Bruno Gouery as Luc and William Abadie as Antoine Lambert.

Meanwhile, there will be guest stars: Eugenio Franceschini as Marcello, Thalia Besson as Genevieve and Rupert Everett as Giorgio Barbieri.

The new series also welcomes Anna Galiena as Antonia Muratori and Raoul Bova as Giancarlo.

The new photos come after Lucien revealed he was originally only set to appear in two episodes of the series.

The 32-year-old actor, who plays Alfie, Emily’s British love interest in the drama series, returns this week for the “heartbreaking” fourth instalment.

During Tuesday’s Capital Breakfast, Lucien gave an insight into what fans can expect, speaking to presenters Jordan North, Chris Stark and Kemi Rodgers.

Jordan asked, “Did you ever think this show would be so big, because everyone’s talking about it? In the States, everyone loves it, right?”

Lucien replied: ‘I was in the second season, so I had a suspicion, but then of course you also had series that were popular because of COVID, and everyone was just sitting at home binge-watching.’

He added: ‘So it was a bit of a nerve-wracking entry into the show. I was only supposed to do two episodes.

‘I remember it was supposed to be my last day, I got a little round of applause and then Darren Star, the creator, came in and said, ‘Lucien, you’re not leaving Paris.’ And I thought, ‘What have I done wrong?’ I thought I was going to get arrested or something.

“And he said, ‘No, we’ll keep you for a little while.’ But yeah, the reach is just insane.”

“If it was actually only going to be two episodes, what do you think you did that made them want to explore this character more?” Chris asked.

“I have no idea!” the actor continued. “I just have to thank the acting gods who are out there somewhere in the ether.”

“I think it was also because we worked so well with Lily. Maybe we just had a good relationship on set and they wanted to keep me.”

The third season ended on a chaotic cliffhanger when Emily’s romance with Alfie ended abruptly during Gabriel and Camille’s wedding, when Camille realized that her future husband had hidden feelings for Emily.

When asked what happens next, Kemi said, “In the trailer we saw that maybe you guys are figuring out where you stand in relation to each other, what’s going on?”

Lucien responded, “Gosh, I would say that after season three, it definitely ends on a cliffhanger as to what’s going to happen next.

‘It’s a bit chaotic, it’s a bit of a rollercoaster, the first half of the season, for Alfie to figure out what’s what… A bit heartbreaking. Yeah, a bit heartbreaking, to be honest.’

The Emily in Paris The season four trailer, which dropped last month, reveals the love triangle between Lily’s character Emily and Alfie and Gabriel.

In part 1 of the hit Netflix series, airing August 15, Emily tries to avoid her dual romances and focus on herself.

As she wanders through the city of love, Emily encounters many “handsome men” and realizes she needs to gain “new experiences” after last season’s failed romances.

But as she tries to embrace life as a newly single woman, Emily can’t help but think back to her relationships with Alfie (Lucien Laviscount) and Gabriel (Lucas Bravo).

Her best friend Mindy Chen (Ashley Park) continues to insist that “no relationship is perfect” and Emily asks her for advice, so she runs back into the love triangle to find the right one.

Emily is in a difficult position, saying, “I really thought I could put them behind me, but they both mean a lot to me, for different reasons.”

Mindy says, “Don’t overthink it.”

At work, Emily clashes again with her boss Sylvie Grateau (Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu) when her blogging and love life collide with her office work.

The first five shows will be available from August 15. Viewers will have to wait almost a whole month for the second part, which will be available on September 12.
