Emily Blunt’s Tory MP uncle attended a Sam Smith concert after receiving free tickets worth more than £1,500.
Crispin Blunt, 62, notorious for his liberal views on drugs, accepted a gift from insurance giant Aviva to watch Smith at London’s O2.
According to the Register of Members’ Financial Interests, Mary Poppins star Emily Blunt’s uncle received two hospitality tickets worth a total of £1,512.
30-year-old Sam, who is gender neutral and uses pronouns, is traveling across Europe as part of their ongoing Gloria tour.
In 2019, Sam said that after years of “war with my gender,” they wanted to be referred to as “she” or “them,” recently criticized for “their” sexualized music videos.

He told the Daily Mail’s Richard Eden of the event: “It may have taken me a while to attend my first major popular music event, but I thoroughly enjoyed the evening and am grateful that, if not obligated, [sic] to Aviva for their hospitality.’
Crispin told the House of Commons in 2016 that he would be ‘immediately affected’ by a ban on legal highs, as he regularly used ‘poppers’.
It comes after Sam returned to the stage after canceling a series of shows on their Gloria tour due to them battling a mysterious virus.
They seemed to be in good spirits as they put on an energetic performance on Monday night after recovering from a mysterious illness.
They had postponed two shows from their ongoing Gloria tour last week after Sam and their team were all stricken with illness.
Sam appeared fully recovered as they danced across the stage belting out their most famous hits while standing on a huge gold sculpture.
They also gestured to the audience as their fans sang along to their songs during the energetic show in Berlin, after returning from their tour in Copenhagen.
Sam’s return to the stage comes after they canceled two performances last week after being stricken with a mysterious illness.

Last Monday, Sam had taken to their Instagram Stories to tell fans that they wouldn’t be able to perform at the Resorts World Arena in Birmingham on Tuesday because they weren’t good enough, postponing the show until next month.
A few days earlier, Sam had withdrawn from performing at the OVO Hydro Arena in the Scottish city of Glasgow on Saturday.
Sam announced: ‘Sailors, I’m sorry to let you know that things are still not going well for my team and I, so unfortunately we have to move the Birmingham show to 27th May 2023.
“It’s so important to me that we give you the very best version of Gloria. I don’t want you to experience it for less.
“Thank you so much for your understanding, I know how excited everyone is to see the show, and I feel the same way when I see you all.
All previous tickets are still valid for the new date. For more information, visit my website www.samsmithworld.com. All my love, Sam X.”
The star assured fans that all tickets would be valid for the new Saturday, May 27 date.
Sam had pulled out of their gig in Glasgow earlier on Saturday after they were originally stricken with the mystery bug.
Sam announced the news on Instagram, sharing that they would not be able to perform at the OVO Hydro Arena in the Scottish city this weekend as they were not good enough.
Sam explained how she and their team were feeling ‘very unwell’ but that they would reschedule the performance until next month.
The pop star was recently at the center of harsh criticism from online trolls for their choice of stage attire.
Some labeled the artist as “satanic,” after the star previously revealed they were shockingly spat on in the street after announcing they were non-binary.
However, Sam has continued to dismiss any negative comment and taunts as they continue to maintain confidence in their performance art and strong public image.

Sam sparked 100 Ofcom complaints with the BRITs this year, where they performed their single Unholy alongside Kim Petras, 30, at London’s O2 Arena in February.
They had dressed up as the devil, complete with horns coming out of their hats, a similar look to the one they wore at the Grammys the week before.
An Ofcom spokesperson told MailOnline: ‘We received 106 complaints about the Brit Awards on ITV1 on 11 February.
“The majority of the complaints were about Sam Smith’s performance, the rest about the use of abusive language and alcohol consumption.”
