John Krasinski has shared his wife Emily Blunt’s hilarious reaction after he was named People magazine’s sexiest man alive.
While the actor, 45, said he was more shocked and confused that he was even given the title, he revealed his wife, 41, was over the moon when a man was labeled the sexiest man alive.
John admitted that Emily was ‘very excited’ when she told her and even joked that she would wallpaper their house with his cover-up.
After John this year’s winner was announced, he said People: ‘There was a lot of joy involved when I told her.’
He also talked about his wife, saying, “It’s that beautiful thing that when you’re married to someone, you’re constantly learning and changing and evolving. And I’m so lucky to experience all of this with her.”

Although the actor was more shocked and confused that he was even given the title, he said his wife was over the moon when her husband was labeled the sexiest man alive.
The actor went on to joke that his new title won’t help him at home, and will make him do “more household chores”: “She’ll say, ‘Okay, that means you’re really going to earn it.’ here at home.”
Emily and John have been married for fourteen years and share two daughters Hazel, ten, and Violet, eight.
In his cover story for People, John shared his surprise at winning the title: “This way I don’t wake up thinking, ‘Is this the day I’m asked to be the sexiest man alive?’ And yet it was the day you did it. You guys have really raised the bar for me.”
The heartthrob dethroned 2023 winner, Grey’s Anatomy hunk Patrick Dempsey, 58, for the coveted title.
John said he thought he was being ‘punked’ when he was told he had won the title this year.
