Emilia Jones and Kathryn Newton dress in cozy sweaters to promote new film about formerly imprisoned NSA leaker Reality Winner at Sundance

Emilia Jones and Kathryn Newton stopped by the IndieWire Sundance Studio in Park City, Utah, on Sunday as part of the Sundance Film Festival.

Jones, 21, and Newton, 26, star in the film Winner, about the life story of the NSA translator who leaks secret documents, Reality Winner.

Emilia plays the title character, a U.S. Air Force vet who shared a report on Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election.

Emilia looked chic as she walked the red carpet in black leather wide-leg trousers and an oversized brown turtleneck from Michael Kors Collection.

Kathryn accentuated her blonde hair by opting for an all-white look that would have looked at home in a ski chalet.

Reality Winner was convicted of releasing a secret document about Russia’s involvement in the 2016 presidential election to the media.

After initially pleading not guilty, she changed her plea to guilty and accepted a deal from prosecutors.

In return, she received the longest prison sentence ever imposed for unauthorized release of government information: five years and three months in prison.

Zach Galifinakis, 54, and Danny Ramirez, 31, also star in the film, directed by Susanna Fogel, and all three attended the Saturday premiere and IndieWire event.

The story begins when Reality is nine and she rescues several puppies from a pet store.

She also decides that the best way to prevent another September 11th is to learn the terrorist’s language, so she begins to study Arabic.

Fogel and screenwriter Kerry Howley said they tried to paint a relatable picture of reality in the film by following her love of dogs and her deep devotion to her country and career.
