The star played Daenerys Targaryen on the hit fantasy series and admitted she was “terrified” of the sex scenes because she “didn’t know what to do.”

Emilia, who was only 23 at the time, was “fresh out of drama school” and had “never been on a film set before” and had to strip naked in front of “all those people”.

Speaking on the Armchair Expert podcast with Dax Shepard in 2019, Emilia said: “I took the job and then they sent me the scripts and I was reading them, and I was like, ‘Oh, there’s the kicker!’

Emilia explained how the Aquaman star put her at ease due to having “experience” in the industry and showed her the ropes.

The actress added: “He was always saying, ‘Can we get his damn robe? He’s shaking!’ He was so kind and thoughtful and cared about me as a human being.
