Emil Forsberg scores his first goal for the New York Red Bulls in his home debut and leads the team to a 2-1 win over FC Dallas

The New York Red Bulls won their first home game this season and their second in a row by beating FC Dallas 2-1.

In a rain-soaked affair, newcomer Emil Forsberg was the star of the show as he scored a goal and an assist to lead his new team to success.

Scottish winger Lewis Morgan won a penalty early in the match, which Forsberg converted to score his first goal for his new club.

In the second half, Forsberg returned the favor, sliding a pass to Morgan to take a 2–0 lead.

Dallas forward Jesus Ferreira made things interesting by scoring shortly after the Red Bulls doubled their lead on a free kick that went under the RBNY wall.

But coach Sandro Schwarz’s men held on for a victory and sent home those who made the trek to Harrison, New Jersey, happy.
