The event is Europe’s largest pride celebration for LGBTQI+ people of African, Asian, Caribbean, Latin American and Middle Eastern-descent.
UK Black Pride’s last in-person event saw over 10,000 people convene in Haggerston Park in Hackney, after outgrowing its presence at Vauxhall Park in Lambeth.
Each year the event organisers pick a theme they feel speaks to the current emotions and energies of LGBTQI+ Black people and people of colour in the UK, with this year’s theme being Power.
