Controversial Channel 10 bumps dud reality series The Challenge to a later time slot after shocking ratings and a year full of flops
Channel 10 has moved reality series The Challenge to a later 8:30pm timeslot.
It’s because the embattled network endured a pathetic year of dud TV shows that failed to win over audiences.
The Challenge drew just 257,000 subway viewers when it premiered on Nov. 14 in the 7:30 p.m. prime time slot, and it has continued to throw fans off ever since.

The show now airs on Mondays at 8:30pm.
Based on an American format, The Challenge sees celebrities compete against athletes in a series of elimination games.
Hosted by non-binary host Brihony Dawson, the program plummeted to just 136,000 fans in major centers on Tuesday.
The new timeslot will begin next week with a double episode – the first week of the no ratings period.
A repeat double episode of the 10 reality hit Bondi Rescue is now scheduled for 7:30pm.

This is the third major flop for the embattled network after reality shows The Real Love Boat and The Traitors tanked earlier this year.
It comes after the network was brutal mocked over the casting selection for the grueling game show.
But viewers took to social media ahead of the premiere to infuriate the cast, after Channel 10 berated them as ‘Australia’s Most High-profile Celebrities’.
Australia’s hottest celebs? Who are 95% of these people?’ one tweeted.

The cast for the series includes Bachelor rejects like Konrad Bień-Stephen, Megan Marx, and Kiki Morris.
It’s been a year of disastrous years for non-starters like Channel 10, including 10 News First: Breakfast, which recently set a new record for the worst-rated program in Australian TV history.
One-off crowd pleasers The Project, MasterChef and The Amazing Race Australia also underperformed for the network.
The Real Love Boat sank after the premiere in front of a pathetic metro audience of 215,000
Channel 10’s inability to attract viewers to its most hyped shows will inevitably lead to a drop in market value, especially their ad revenue, insiders say.
The Real Love Boat premiered last month to just 215,000 subway viewers.
Based on the 1970s sitcom The Love Boat, the dating show eventually sank within a matter of weeks, with one episode drawing just 141,000 fans.
The traitors continue the misadventures of the network. The real-life mystery adventure, which premiered just two weeks after the sinking of The Real Boat, drew just 257,000 subway viewers for its debut
