Em Rusciano slams fans who don’t support drag queens
Em Rusciano lashed out at her followers after she was forced to disable comments on her latest Instagram post defending drag queens due to “disgusting” comments that disagreed with her.
The former radio star shared a meme on Saturday that read: ‘Drag is art. Drag is culture. Drag is dancing. Dragging is creative. Drag is comedy. Dragging is not a crime’.
She added in the caption: ‘LEAVE DRAG ALONE. Don’t think for a second that what is currently happening in some states in the US to the drag community couldn’t happen here.
Em added: “Double tip your queens this weekend, I’m by your side, all my double stacked whip sisters.”
Within hours, she took to her fans on Instagram, complaining that she was forced to remove the comments option due to “disgusting comments” from “people who follow me.”

‘I’m a full fledged, ten out of ten, gold star, drag queen ally. If you don’t know by now, what are you doing here? he told her in a video clip.
‘And all this argument that drag is not for children? Firstly, no one said it was, secondly, it may be, thirdly, it may as well be adults-only,” he continued.
“There are nuances to drag, it covers everything, which is why it’s brilliant as an art form.”
Em continued: ‘Those stunning queens should be protected from children and not the other way around.

Little children are wild, with their sticky and grumpy fingers they climb on the beautiful dresses, pull on the wigs, pull on the nails. I am a lover of drag. Come on man.’
Last year, the singer announced plans to bring her then-three-year-old son Elio to a “drag queen story time event.”
In an impassioned video on Instagram, the podcast host said it was her way of showing her support for the queer community following the shooting at a Colorado Springs gay nightclub that killed five people and injured more than two dozen others in last november.
The 44-year-old also expressed concern that a similar incident could occur in Australia due to the grooming controversy surrounding the drag queen’s Courtney Act at the time.
Last year, the singer announced plans to bring her then-three-year-old son Elio to a “drag queen story time event.”
Liberal Senator Alex Antic accused ABC of “grooming” children by having Act read a children’s book about a girl who wears pants in Play School Story Time.
“When you think about the rhetoric that’s been going around about Courtney Act apparently ‘grooming’ kids because she read a story in Play School, it could happen here,” she warned her followers.
“And I just want to say categorically that I would be honored if a drag queen wanted to read a book to my son, to me, to anyone.”
Em went on to say that she is an ally of the queer community and wants to show her support by taking her Elio to a storytelling event.
“I’ve been trying to research drag story time events to bring Elio because I just want to show my support and I think it’s a fabulous idea and I can’t find any,” he despaired.

‘Are they gone? Aren’t they passing? Are either of you on the other side when there could be another hour of drag stories?’ she asked.
“Drag queens are gorgeous magical humans,” he gushed. ‘They are perfect. It is the perfect choice for reading children’s books.’
After struggling to find drag story events near her, Em thought about whether she should try hosting one herself, then asked her followers if they had a library she could use.
‘I really, really want to take Elio into a cross-dressing story now! I am obsessed!’ she pleaded.
Em previously defended drag queen Courtney Act after right-wing conservative politicians accused her of “grooming” children.
