Em Rusciano calls for an ‘international investigation’ as he blasts Rolling Stone’s 200 Greatest Singers of All Time list and rages John Farnham and Tina Arena didn’t make the cut
Comedian Em Rusciano took to social media on Tuesday to criticize Rolling Stone‘s List of the 200 greatest singers of all time.
The 42-year-old podcaster said she was enraged that local Australian legends John Farnham and Tina Arena never made the cut.
“I need an international investigation,” the emotional former Australian Idol star said in a lengthy Instagram video.
Comedian Em Rusciano took to social media Tuesday to criticize Rolling Stone’s list of the 200 Greatest Singers of All Time.
‘I need to understand what they [Rolling Stone] we built on this,’ Rusciano said.
‘As if they were musicians?’ she asked those who made the list.
Telling fans and supporters that he was “not happy”, Rusciano described the list as “shit” after he ranked Kelly Clarkson at 194.
Meanwhile, Rusciano took issue with grunge rocker Kurt Cobain’s inclusion on a list of great singers.
“I wouldn’t call him an amazing vocalist,” he said of the late Nirvana frontman, who was ranked 36th on the list.
The 42-year-old podcaster said she was enraged that local Australian legends John Farnham and Tina Arena never made the cut.
Telling fans and supporters that he was “not happy”, Rusciano described the list as “shit” after ranking Kelly Clarkson at 194.
“I would say he’s an incredible musician and an incredible act.”
The media personality said she would put together her own list, before admitting that she “agrees” with the list’s top ten, which put legendary soul singer Aretha Franklin at No. 1.
It comes as legions of fans have come forward to question the composition of the roster.
The decision to leave celine dion off the list has outraged music lovers according to TMZ.

Known for her powerful and technically adept voice, the 54-year-old Canadian singer has also amassed more than 200 million records sold worldwide.
The My Hear Will Go On star has also won a host of accolades and awards during her five decades in the spotlight.
There are a few other surprises in the Top 10 list for RS besides Dion getting snubbed.
Many would agree that having Aretha Franklin at number one is a no-brainer, which was followed by Whitney Houston, Sam Cooke, Billie Holiday and Mariah Carey, Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, Beyonce, Otis Reeding, and Al Green.
