In another famous photo, Elvis met legendary boxer Muhammad Ali during the fighter’s prime, with the chain proudly displayed.

According to Gotta Have Rock and Roll, the icon also wore it several times during his post-Priscilla relationship with Linda Thompson.

Between its stay at the Elvis Presley Museum and the auction, the necklace was given to Jimmy Velvet, who the site calls “The Godfather of memorabilia.”

Velvet once described the Elvis Lion Claw as the most iconic piece of jewelry ever worn by Elvis.

The Jailhouse Rock singer is said to have rocked it during 30 concerts.

In 2014, a bejeweled lion’s head pendant worn by Elvis during his 1970 White House meeting with President Nixon fetched $82,500.

The pendant, which Elvis designed in 1969, was sold at the very first auction at Graceland in Memphis.

The cost of the pendant exceeded that of a maroon and silver 1977 Cadillac Seville, the last car Elvis purchased for personal use. The car sold for $81,250, $1,250 less than the hanger.

The auction news comes after Priscilla was honored with a Legacy Award at Victoria’s Voice Foundation gala, which raised money to combat the opioid overdose crisis.

The late rock legend’s 78-year-old ex-wife — who died of cardiac arrest after years of opiate abuse — received the award at the gala held Nov. 11 at a private estate in Palm Island, Florida, according to a press release provided Tuesday by the founding.

“All my life I have seen firsthand how drugs destroy families. This award inspires me to continue to advocate for those affected by addiction and who live in fear every day that their loved ones will be taken from them,” said Priscilla.

“I am incredibly moved by the way David and Jackie have turned their painful loss into a force for good and giving back. I salute everyone involved with Victoria’s Voice and I share this award with all of you,” Priscilla added.

Priscilla attended the gala with her son Navarone Garibaldi Garcia, 36, the half-brother of the late Lisa Marie Presley, who died in January of cardiac arrest at the age of 54 after years of dealing with substance abuse, including becoming addicted to opioids.

Navarone, the singer and guitarist of Los Angeles-based rock band Them Guns, is Priscilla’s son with her former longtime partner Marco Garibaldi.

Navarone married Elisa Achilli in 2022 in her home country of Switzerland.
