The Spanish actress, 48, lives in Byron Bay with her husband Chris, 41, and their three children: daughter India, 12, and twins Sasha and Tristan, 10.
But Elsa, who is originally from Madrid, admitted she suffered from one very specific condition before agreeing to uproot her life and move Down Under almost a decade ago.
Speaking with the Courier mailElsa revealed how she told Chris she would only move to Australia if they lived on a sprawling farm where she could have horses.
“That was my deal with Chris,” she said. “I said I was going to move to Australia, but I wanted to live on an estate, a farm, and have horses, and he knew that.”
Luckily for Elsa, her dream came true and they now live in a sprawling $30 million, eight-bedroom mansion on a huge 4.2-acre plot of land in Broken Head.

Elsa also gave a candid insight into her relationship with Hollywood icon Chris and shared their secret to a happy marriage despite the many challenges they have faced.
“I think we all have this beautiful dream of marriage and loving each other and it’s all perfect, but it’s a lot more work than you think,” she said.
“It comes with so many challenges, but it’s wonderful to take on those challenges and learn about each other and how we change over the years and how we adapt to each other.
“You can think from the outside that a marriage is perfect, but they all have their stuff and they all need a lot of work.”
Elsa and Chris tied the knot just ten months after they first met and will celebrate 14 years of marriage on December 22, although she admitted they rarely remember their anniversary.
Although it may seem like a misstep in the relationship, Elsa insisted the date is easy to forget because it is so close to Christmas, and said they laugh about it every year.
Elsa gushed about her husband and also admitted she always wanted a ‘partner for life’ as she opened up about how she wants to grow old with Thor actor Chris.

They moved to Byron Bay five years later after buying their forever home in the coastal paradise for $7.6 million.
Now they have been given a unique opportunity to expand their enormous estate on Byron Bay’s so-called ‘Golden Grid’.
In October, the adjacent nine-acre estate next to their Balinese-style luxury pad was put on the market for an undisclosed price.
Real estate insiders estimate the luxury retreat could fetch as much as $34 million.
Although it could be a lucrative purchase, the Daily Telegraph claimed that the Hemsworths have made no attempt to declare their interests at the palace.
The site last went under the hammer in 2011 for $6.3 million and is currently owned by oil and gas multi-millionaire Russell Staley and his wife Jennifer.
The property, known as Ohana, is located in Broken Head in the Byron Bay hinterland, between the Hemsworths’ home and Seven Mile Beach.
Surrounded by bushland, the architect-designed home has 450 meters of beach frontage and features a series of pavilions that can accommodate 28 guests.
