Elsa Pataky and more honour Alexander McQueen at NGV Gala

The stars stepped out in their most elegant and extravagant gowns for the opening night of the Alexander McQueen: Mind, Mythos, Muse exhibition in Melbourne on Saturday.

The exhibition was part of the NGV Gala 2022 and was held at the National Gallery of Victoria.

Elsa Pataky, 46, led the arrival of celebrities in an exquisite custom-made two-piece dress by Rebecca Vallance.

She donned a high-waisted, floor-length skirt with a small train and added a feathered top that was held up by two spaghetti straps.

The stunning Spaniard was accessorized with diamonds, including a necklace and bracelet.

Her hair was pulled back into a sleek ponytail and her makeup was natural and bright.

Offsetting Elsa’s simple elegance was MasterChef Australia star Melissa Leong.

The TV lover, 40, went for drama and glam in a semi-sheer black Thierry Mugler jumpsuit with a black skirt over it.

She paired it with an exaggerated fuchsia pink puffy wrap that wrapped around her body.

Her hair was pulled up tightly in a bun and she wore bright red lipstick with long, dramatic eyelashes.

Supermodel Megan Gale, 47, showed off her figure in a tight black dress with a plunging neckline and ruffled shoulders.

She was accompanied by her handsome partner Shaun Hampson, 34, who looked dapper in a suit.

Former WAG Alex Pike, 45, dared to go nude in a gold dress that did little to protect her modesty.

The sheer nude dress featured gold clusters around her breasts and hips to keep her covered.

Alex, who is a cosmetic nurse, has clinics in Albury, Melbourne and Sydney, and previously expressed a desire to expand into the US market with a clinic in Beverly Hills.

G Flip went for something a little different by wearing a sequined black suit with a matching cowboy hat.

The singer, who identifies as non-binary and uses they/them pronouns, was not accompanied by his Selling Sunset star girlfriend, Chrishell Stause.

Chrishelle is currently back in the States after flying Down Under to accompany G Flip to the ARIA Awards.

Earlier this week, the Netflix star criticized the People Choice Awards for not allowing him to bring G Flip as his date to the ceremony.

Making her thoughts abundantly clear, the real estate agent, who was nominated for The Reality Star of 2022, went on a Twitter rant about it after having been drinking.

She raged: “I’m a bit in the sauce so I’ll probably regret this later.” BUT people’s choice didn’t allow me to bring my partner to the awards.

‘She could ONLY bring a plus 1 if she was a cast member. Oh. Sure, this means I’ll never be nominated again, but honestly I was.’

Discussing that her Selling Sunset co-stars were allowed to attend with their own loved ones, she continued: ‘EVERY cast member invited and some had more. They nominated me for best real estate star and yet they said NO. Again he went.

‘I didn’t know until I got there that everyone was invited. So what was the problem?

Chrishell continued: ‘G isn’t in the country so I couldn’t go anyway, but we only found out recently. Until a few days ago he was fighting to get them in and just to see everyone invited. Gtfoh.’
