Elon Musk’s brother branded him an ‘idiot’ over Nancy Pelosi tweet in new book – as the pair fell out over his $44billion Twitter takeover saying it was a ‘pimple on the a**’ of what his ‘impact should be’

Elon Musk’s brother has revealed that he and the billionaire had a falling out over Twitter’s $44 billion acquisition.

Kimbal Musk, 50, has stopped following his older brother on the platform, which was renamed X, because it was “too unnerving,” according to a new book.

He urged his brother, 52, to ‘stop falling for weird things’ online, and was not entirely supportive of his Twitter takeover.

Musk’s brother told him about the acquisition: “It’s a pimple on the A- of what your impact on the world should be,” according to the new book.

Tesla CEO Musk admitted that posting a tweet claiming Nancy Pelosi’s husband got into a fight with a male prostitute when he was attacked during a home invasion was a “mistake.”

He told author Walter Isaacson, who spent two years working on the autobiography, that it was one of his “stupidest mistakes” – with his brother calling him an “idiot” for the blunder.

In the now-deleted tweet, Musk suggested that the House Speaker’s husband was leaving a gay bar in San Francisco with David DePape prior to his assault.

Musk had posted the theory in response to a tweet from former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, in which she claimed the attack on the 82-year-old was the fault of Republican “mouthpieces” spreading “hate and twisted conspiracy theories.”

“There’s a remote possibility that there’s more to the story than meets the eye,” the 51-year-old billionaire responded, sharing a link to a story published by an obscure publisher called the Santa Monica Observer.

Isaacson reported in the book that Musk “privately said it was one of his dumbest mistakes,” to which his brother agreed.

After acquiring Twitter, the entrepreneur brutally fired half of the company’s workforce, approximately 3,750 employees.

The company still owes former employees $500 million in severance pay, according to a lawsuit filed in July, which put 80 percent of its workforce on the chopping block following its takeover last year.

Courtney McMillian, who oversaw Twitter’s employee benefits programs as “head of total rewards” before she was fired, filed the potential class action in San Francisco federal court.

She claims that under a severance package drawn up by Twitter in 2019, most employees were promised two months of their basic pay plus one week per full year of service, while senior employees like herself were owed six months of basic pay.

The lawsuit accuses Twitter and Musk of violating a federal law regulating employee retirement plans, leaving the company without an HR department.

Twitter, now

The company insists it has paid ex-employees in full despite the series of legal actions against Twitter.
