The Tesla And SpaceX boss was there the grounds of the Butler Farm Show in Pennsylvania, where Trump survived an assassination attempt three months ago.
Musk wore a black MAGA hat, as opposed to the usual red one, and joked “I’m not just MAGA, I’m Dark MAGA” as he spoke to the crowd.
Fans of the former president loved his cameo, but those on the other side mocked his awkward excitement and expressed fear for democracy since he owns Twitter.

Another sarcastically told Musk, “Congratulations on turning yourself into a global dweeb meme on your own platform, with #DorkMAGA trending.”
“Anyone else think Trump was embarrassed by Elon’s Dark MAGA performance?” wrote a third, with a photo of Trump looking unimpressed next to him.
Another mocked Musk’s estrangement from most of his children, especially his transgender daughter Vivian Jenna Wilson.
‘The irony of this pasty white incel calling himself ‘Dark MAGA’. Go spend time with your kids, Elon. Oh wait, they hate you,” they wrote.
But others did not find Musk’s actions funny because they feared he would use his ownership of Twitter to help Trump become a dictator.

Other Twitter users were more focused on a post from Musk’s mother, Maye Musk, encouraging Trump fans to “use 10 fake names, go to 10 voting booths and vote 10 times.”

Another section of critics claimed that Musk seemed desperate to suck up to Trump, and that his support for the former president was bad for Tesla’s business.

Musk claimed during his speech that if Americans did not vote for Trump, November 5 would be “the last election.” That’s my prediction’.

Dark MAGA first appeared in 2022 as a meme among Trump supporters, calling for his return to the presidency at any cost – even dictatorship.
They argued that Trump was justified in being authoritarian after regaining power, often sharing dystopian images alongside Trump’s slogans.

Others saw less sinister meanings in his Dark MAGA joke, such as that his hat was black, or that he was alluding to Joe Biden’s “Dark Brandon” meme.
“Elon’s great genius (Dark Maga) is just another meme he stole. This time from Biden’s social media team. Dude is literally the most unoriginal person in the world,” one person wrote.
After jumping up and down, Musk told the huge crowd, “America is the home of the brave and the true test of a person’s character is how he or she behaves under fire.

Musk urged his supporters to vote, register to vote, and for others to “vote now.”
“I didn’t repeat myself for nothing,” he said. “Honestly, you want to be a pest. Fight, fight, fight! Vote, vote, vote!’

Although temperatures in Butler are only in the 60s, protesters have often collapsed at political rallies this election season due to heatstroke.
