Elon Musk attends the historic Exposition Park in downtown LA for a trance music event

Elon Musk has been spotted mingling with festival goers at a trance music event in downtown Los Angeles.

The billionaire watched Mladen Solomun, a Bosnian-German DJ, along with a 10,000-strong crowd.

The DJ played a five-hour set on Saturday night from 7 p.m. to midnight, with fans dancing to him well into the night.

Musk is known as a fan of EDM, having written and released a song himself titled “Don’t Doubt Your Vibe” in January 2020.

It came days after he announced that NBCUniversal Linda Yaccarino would be taking over as CEO of Twitter.

Last week the Twitter boss rrevealed how he hired her to take over from him as chief executive officer of the social media network.

Musk, who bought Twitter in October 2022, tweeted, “Excited to announce I have a new CEO for X/Twitter. She will start in ~6 weeks!

“My role will transition to exec chairman and CTO (chief technology officer), overseeing products, software and sysops.”

Newly appointed CEO Linda Yaccarino said in a tweet Saturday that she is inspired by owner Elon Musk’s vision to create a brighter future and is excited to help transform the social media platform.

It was Yaccarino’s first public speaking since news broke on Thursday that she was in talks to become Twitter’s next CEO.

Musk, who has served as CEO since his $44 billion acquisition of Twitter last October, announced her appointment on Friday.

Newly appointed CEO Linda Yaccarino said in a tweet Saturday that she is inspired by owner Elon Musk’s vision to create a brighter future and is excited to help transform the social media platform.

“I have long been inspired by [Musk’s] vision to create a better future. I’m excited to help bring this vision to Twitter and transform this company together!” Yaccarino tweeted.

Yaccarino, who spent several years modernizing its advertising business as advertising chief for Comcast Corp.’s NBCUniversal, said she is committed to the future of Twitter and that user feedback is essential to building Twitter 2.0.

Yaccarino will acquire a social media platform that has been trying to reverse a decline in ad revenue and is beset by challenges along with heavy debt.

Since Musk acquired Twitter, advertisers have fled the platform fearing their ads would appear next to inappropriate content after the company lost nearly 80% of its staff. Musk acknowledged earlier this year that Twitter had suffered a massive drop in ad revenue.

While Musk said Yaccarino would help build an “everything app,” which he previously said could offer a variety of services, such as peer-to-peer payments, his selection of an advertising veteran indicated that digital advertising would remain a core focus of the company.

Musk has long said he intended to find a new leader for Twitter.

Musk, who is also the CEO of Space X and electric vehicle maker Tesla, said on Friday that appointing Yaccarino as Twitter’s new chief will help him spend more time on Tesla.

Tesla shares rose after Musk’s announcement on Twitter on Thursday

Musk made an immediate impact after taking over as CEO of Twitter on October 28, 2022

Immediately after the announcement, Tesla shares rose more than 2 percent, a sign that investors were pleased with the move.

When Musk took over Twitter on Oct. 28, he made an instant impact — but his tenure was not without controversy.

Changes such as the Twitter Blue subscription and bringing previously banned users back to the platform met with widespread backlash.

He also laid off thousands of the company’s employees in an effort to cut costs significantly.

He sought to develop the site’s subscription feature to supplement its ad revenue.

However, Twitter seemed to backtrack on its new model in part by restoring some old accounts, including LeBron James and William Shatner.

Under the new system, users would have to pay an $8 monthly fee to have their account verified — and receive the site’s blue check mark.

Previously, the site would award a verified account to notable figures such as politicians, celebrities, and journalists.

Musk’s announcement came months after he promised in December to step down as head of Twitter once he found someone “foolish enough to take the job.”
