Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg are ‘dead serious’ about a cage match and it could be the greatest fight of all time, claims UFC chief Dana White
UFC chief Dana White says Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg are “deadly serious” about an extraordinary fight in the octagon.
“Talked to Mark and Elon last night, both guys are absolutely dead serious about this,” White told TMZbefore claiming it could be the most watched fight in history.
“The biggest fight of all time was the one between Floyd (Mayweather) and Conor (McGregor), I think it triples that,” he said. “It triples what that did. There’s no limit to what that thing can make.”
White says the fight could take place in Las Vegas and pay-per-view would bring in $100-$20 more than what is usually charged for his UFC events.
The 51-year-old Musk offered the contest after commenting under a post about Zuckerberg’s latest suspected project, which will reportedly be called Threads and rival Twitter.

Zuckerberg replied on his Instagram story, sharing a screenshot of Musk’s challenge, writing, “Send me location.” The CEO of Meta recently posted a jiu-jitsu tournament in May
The interaction began after Musk commented on the meta’s reported in-development app, saying, “I’m sure Earth can’t wait to be exclusively under Zuck’s thumb with no other options.”
Zuckerberg, 39, replied on his Instagram story sharing a screenshot of Musk’s challenge, writing, “Send me location.”
Musk has trained all his life in Kyokushin karate, taekwondo, judo and “Brazilian jiu-jitsu briefly,” he revealed on Joe Rogan’s podcast, and shared a photo of him fighting a sumo wrestler in the past.
However, Musk may not find the match as easy as he thinks as Meta’s CEO, who was recently placed in a jiu-jitsu tournament in May.
Either way, UFC boss White sees an opportunity and is eager to play his part and live up to it.
“Maybe your ability to keep doing interesting things, to some extent, is your willingness to be ashamed again and go back to step one and start as a beginner, and get your kicks,” Zuckerberg said earlier this year in a podcast.
Zuckerberg also slammed a New York Times report claiming he was knocked out during a Jiu-Jitsu fight after a referee ended the fight prematurely, handing the win to an opponent.
A clip of him struggling to the floor and trying to break free from an opponent who pinned him to the mat went viral.
They struggled for over a minute before Zuckerberg was locked in a submission and the referee declared the bout, handing the win to his opponent.

Zuckerberg is 12 years younger than Musk and entered a contest earlier this year
The official said he stopped the fight because he heard the tech CEO snoring and thought he passed out during the chokehold.
But Zuckerberg and his coach Dave Camarillo told the publication that he had not lost consciousness and that the referee mistook his grunt for snoring.
“That never happened,” Zuckerberg wrote in an email.
