X users claim Elon Musk has created ‘burner account’ Adrian Dittmann to shower himself with praise
Elon Musk is using a “burner account” on X to shower himself with praise, according to a bizarre new conspiracy circulating on internet forums.
Social media users claim Musk is a ‘imaginary fan‘ account under the name ‘Adrian Dittmann’ to respond to his own posts on his platform after the blue tick verified account surfaced with repeated comments of admiration.
Pekka Kallioniemi, creator of The Soup Central, a channel that claims to provide “in-depth knowledge on disinformation, bad actors and information operations,” shared a wire This week 5.1 million views on the ‘wild theory’.
He noted that it “wouldn’t be the first time Elon has used alt accounts to communicate on his ex account. partner Grimes.
And this month, an account belonging to criticize Musk.
But Dittmann asked Musk for “five minutes” to “clarify the alt account situation”, with the pair speaking about the claims late on Monday. The conversation directly addressed the voice similarities, but also led to new accusations that Musk had used an AI impersonator to squash the rumors.
Dittmann made headlines last year when Musk directly acknowledged the similarity in their voices after the former appeared on Alex Jones’ controversial InfoWars podcast, the billionaire tech entrepreneur noted, “at some point there’s just going to be 100 AI clones of me that sound exactly the same. ‘

Speaking too late about X Spaces On Monday, the pair directly addressed the claim that Musk was impersonating Dittmann.
Musk says: ‘Alex Jones thinks it’s me?’
Dittmann begins to explain the conspiracy before being interrupted by Musk’s laughter.
Musk continues: ‘There are eight billion people on Earth. Chances are there is someone out there who looks like me. And you are that person.”
“Honestly, I don’t think you’re not me,” he jokes.
“People think I’m legitimately your clone,” Dittmann replies. “Like one of your Neuralink experiments. Can you clarify that I am not one of your Neuralink experiments? Or maybe I am and I just wouldn’t realize it?’
Musk suggests, “Well, the point is, even ask questions the way I would ask questions!”
Dittmann says he discovered Musk in 2016 while watching SpaceX videos, before his partner pointed out the similarities in how they sound.
‘Something isn’t quite right in this world. Probably as a bug in the simulation,” Dittmann continues.
But he goes on to dismiss the furore surrounding the comparisons since as the “dumbest thing I’ve ever seen.”
Musk asks what Dittmann looks like when a third voice comes in: “I’ve seen Adrian: he could be your twin brother!”
Dittmann later praises Musk for his work on X, saying he uses Spaces “practically eight hours a day, three times a week” before talking about Musk’s family.
The call was prompted by the online rumors, which prompted Dittmann to write on Sunday: “You know you’ve made it when there are conspiracy theories about you on the Internet.”
Older posts show user interest in the platform, writing on February 9: “The shows and content coming to X will blow your mind.”
He has also expressed support for Musk’s rebranding of the site, writing earlier this month: “I’m honestly enjoying the less gimmicky approach of calling posts for what they are, as opposed to tweets.”
In January, Dittmann wrote: “It took Boston Dynamics thirty years to achieve what Tesla achieved in one year.”
Of greatest interest to speculators are reports praising the price of X. On February 3, Dittmann wrote: “Everything is possible on the everything app X.”
He previously wrote: “X will be the gold standard for social media platforms of the future.”
The pair were most involved in a friendly exchange today under one of Musk’s brand meme posts after a user presented Musk and Dittmann as one and the same.
“We should dress up in Spider-Man outfits and go on stage together,” Musk joked.
“You get the iron spider suit,” Dittmann said back.
Musk fan page ELON ALERTS shared today that ‘Elon Musk is now following Adrian Dittmann.’
Adrian Dittmann: An account that avidly follows Musk’s work, now accused of being an AI clone…
Yet in recent days, users have continued to cling to the idea that Musk is posing as Adrian to support his messages.
One user wrote, without providing evidence: ‘Adrian Dittman (sic) is an Elon Musk Burner account that not only proves he had the mental age of a twelve year old with no friends, it also reminds us that he tried to BUY them (X), and when it made people hate him even more, he used AI to create a version of himself that loves him’.
Another wrote: “I don’t want to give anything away, but ‘Adrian Dittman (sic)’, who insists he’s not Elon Musk, is coming back to InfoWars, and Alex is absolutely insisting he’s Musk. People even point out that they talked to each other in a Twitter Space, and Alex says Musk is talking to an AI of his own.”
A third suggested: ‘Adrian Dittman is either the real Elon Musk, a Musk AI, or a combination of both (sic). The structure of the answers is not the way Musk would phrase them: the sentences are phrased as an AI would phrase them, and the speech is that of a recording.”
