Ellie Goulding shows off her peculiar sense of style during a concert at KOKO

Ellie Goulding showed off her quirky sense of style while performing at KOKO in London on Wednesday night.

The singer, 36, looked amazing in an eccentric purple snakeskin leotard with puff sleeves and leopard print leggings as she took the stage at the iconic Camden venue.

She wore her brunette hair in bouncy curls with blonde highlights and boosted her height in shiny black boots.

During the concert, Ellie told her fans to put their phones away so they could “live in the moment” and even called out a devotee for being on a video call.

According Sun, she said: ‘Put them in your pockets. I looked back at old concert and festival recordings and everyone is living in the moment and feeling free.

Ellie debuted choppy bangs at BBC Maida Vale studios for her Radio 2 performance on Monday.

At the session, Ellie performed three songs, including her classic hit Love Me Like You Do, new single Like A Saviour, and a cover of Cara Dillon’s She Moved Through The Fair.

She also sat down to discuss her varied career and motherhood, admitting to her attempts to get back into shape following the birth of 22-month-old son Arthur, whom she shares with husband Casper Jopling.

Speaking about self-motivation, she said: ‘To be honest, I also sit on the sofa. The only thing I tell myself is, even if I just put my sneakers on outside, I feel like that’s something,’

“But then when I’m outside I’m like ‘oh I might as well go for a walk’ and then when I started walking I’m like ‘oh I might as well start jogging’.”

He then teased his upcoming collaboration with Calvin Harris saying, “We have a third song together.”

“We had a great opportunity to do a lot of other different things and he’s been living in LA forever, now I think maybe he’s back, but we decided to do something else because why the hell not! It works, yeah.”

Ellie then shared some insight from her wedding day in 2019, revealing a host of eclectic singers who performed.

Before adding: ‘Oh, and I also had Craig David. Craig David was my first concert when he was 11 years old. So yeah, so random, I know, but that’s just me… All the quality.’

Ellie’s outing comes as she’s been busy in the studio making new music in recent weeks, where she teased the upcoming Calvin Harris collaboration.

Scottish DJ Calvin, 38, joked to his 10.6 million fans that the pair are currently creating a “third installment”, which has released hits like I Need Your Love and Outside.

Sharing a picture from the studio, Ellie seemed in high spirits as she smiled while holding a pair of headphones in front of the microphone.

As his friend wrote in the post: ‘Back in the studio! It’s time for the third installment of our explosive song trilogy.’

Ellie was set to release her fifth album in the next few days, before delaying the release from February 3 to March 24 due to “exciting opportunities behind the scenes”.

Last month, the pop star took to Instagram to make the announcement and tried to assuage fans’ disappointment by revealing a sneak peek of her new single, Like A Saviour.

Along with a brief glimpse of her new music video, Ellie wrote: “To my amazing fans, I’m sorry to announce that we are delaying the release of Higher Than Heaven until March 24.

‘I know you’ve all been very patient with me, but we’ve had some exciting behind-the-scenes opportunities that I can’t wait to share with you in due course.

In the meantime, as a thank you for your patience, I’m excited to confirm that my new single is called Like A Saviour. It’s coming soon, we filmed the video and it’s one of my favorite videos I’ve ever done.

‘And as a little thank you for putting up with me, I wanted to give you a first look.’

Ellie also teased: “We also filmed something really exciting last weekend that will come around the release of the album. More on that very soon…
