Ellen DeGeneres will NOT apologize following bullying accusations from Bachelorette alum Ali Fedotowsky

Ellen DeGeneres has no plans to apologize to former The Bachelorette star Ali Fedotowsky after claiming the shamed talk show host “made her feel stupid.”

During a recent appearance on Kaitlyn Bristowe’s Off the Vine podcast, Ali got candid about her less-than-pleasant interactions with the stand-up comic, 66, when she appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in 2010.

The 40-year-old’s comments echoed the barrage of claims of unkind behavior from the star, who was previously famous for repeating her mantra: “Be kind to each other.”

TThe TV presenter’s career plummeted in the aftermath accusations of toxic behavior on the set of her daytime talk show of the same name, the final episode of which aired on May 26, 2022.

Despite the latest allegations of ‘nasty’ behavior being leveled at her, sources have exclusively revealed to DailyMail.com that the comedian believes she ‘said what she needed to say’ about any claims of previous bad behaviour.

“Ellen has decided not to pay much attention to Ali’s words because she feels like she’s already been canceled and someone else continuing to say she wasn’t nice won’t make any difference,” the insider said.

The source added that Ellen feels like the reasons why so many turned against her are nothing new, continuing: “People hate Ellen because of her sexual orientation, people hate Ellen because of the attitude she showed towards her staff.

“She’s away from Hollywood, she’s away from her show, she’s living with the person she loves, and Ellen won’t worry about it or shed tears about it anymore.”

The insider noted that the star is focused on staying true to herself and not letting the past hold her back, as they said, “Ellen is who Ellen is, she said what she had to say, and she’s not going to change, so if you don’t like her then think she did you wrong, too bad.

“She won’t apologize even if she’s wrong. She’s had enough.’

Ellen recently left the US for Britain as she continues to deal with the fallout from 2021.

“She moved because of the fallout from everything. She is not going to embrace any more drama in the new year,” the insider concluded.

Ali shared her thoughts on Ellen when host Kaitlyn asked, “Have you ever met Ellen DeGeneres?” Was she nice or not?’ to which Ali replied, “She didn’t make me feel great.”

Kaitlyn, 39, sympathized as she replied, “I hate that. I’ve heard that so many times.’

Ali then elaborated on the interaction, adding, “It’s not necessarily that she was mean, she just made me feel stupid.”

The reality TV star then recalled sitting down for an interview on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in 2010 and admitted that she was “so excited” to be on the show.

“I don’t think she’s a bad person, I just think that when you do that kind of work all day, every day, for years, you just kind of get over it,” Ali then mused. “First, she talks to people who are made.”

Reflecting on the fact that she was a reality star compared to the usual A-talent, Ali continued, “Here I am, this 24 year old, famous for no reason, [I come] on her show she’s probably saying, “I need to talk to one of these idiots again.”

“I went to the show and I was dancing, you know how everyone comes out dancing? I tried to be funny and personal.”

She then commented, “Instead of laughing with me, she laughed at me. You know what I mean? So I felt really stupid.”

Ali did not share any further details about what specific appearance led to her feeling slighted by Ellen.

The TV star made multiple appearances on the long-running talk show due to her appearances on The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, including an appearance in May 2010 — the same day her season of The Bachelorette was set to premiere.

During the episode, Ellen tried to get a giddy Ali to confess whether she had found love on the show before asking the giggling star: “Are you drunk?”

Kaitlyn, who starred on The Bachelorette in 2015, mused, “I think the world protected me from ever going on her show because they say, ‘Don’t meet your heroes,’ and she was mine the whole time .

“But I think it would have been very disappointing for me and now I resent her because of everything I’ve heard from very reliable sources.”

She continued, “And again, I’m the same way, where I’m at, I understand if you’ve done the same thing and you’re over it, and whatever. I don’t like treating people like shit, but I can get over it.’

Ellen delved into her persona non grata status in her stand-up special For Your Approval, which appeared on Netflix at the end of September.

The comedian joked that she had been “kicked out of show business” in the special, which featured material about how she has been spending her time since wrapping up her TV show.

Last year it was revealed that the comedian had left the US for Britain to begin her ‘retirement’ with wife Portia de Rossi.

‘Make no mistake about it. This is Ellen and Portia’s retirement,” an insider told DailyMail.com exclusively. “Neither of us has a project in the pipeline.”

The insider noted that the former talk show heavyweight has had to do a lot less work following accusations that she created a toxic workplace on the set of her show.

“Ellen really felt like she had made her mark on the industry, but that diminished when she was fired for her alleged treatment of her staff,” the source added. “It was so painful to have celebrities call her out one by one.”
