Ellen DeGeneres looks casual in a plaid top and t-shirt while carrying items during the shopping trip

Ellen DeGeneres looked relaxed while shopping in Summerland, California on Thursday.

The 65-year-old former talk show host may have been shopping for additions for herself. recently purchased a seaside home in Carpinteria.

DeGeneres wore a green plaid top over a gray T-shirt and a pair of gray skinny jeans that matched her sneakers.

The Finding Nemo star carried a huge plastic bag full of items and had short blonde hair. Dark sunglasses covered her eyes.

She was joined by a friend wearing a simple white sweater and light blue jeans.

DeGeneres’ appearance came a couple of months after she bought a very expensive home in the area.

In December, the New York Post reported that DeGeneres and de Rossi purchased the home in Carpinteria, which is just south of Summerland.

They paid for a pair of side-by-side properties, one for just over $40 million, while another came in at close to $30 million.

The two properties totaled 10 acres when combined. The publication also reported that $70 million was the most paid for a property in Santa Barbara.

DeGeneres and de Rossi have shown great interest in real estate over the past year and the couple bought and sold several properties.

Ellen and Portia first met in 2000 at a party and de Rossi immediately fell head over heels for Ellen.

However, the couple did not start dating until several years later, partly because De Rossi was not gay at the time.

The couple married in 2008 after California legalized gay marriage and have remained together ever since.

De Generes and de Rossi were seen in their new home when they said ‘I do’ over and over again in front of a friend kris jenner who served as officiant, as well as Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, and his wife Meghan Markle as guests as they renewed their vows.

Portia was sweetly dressed in her old wedding dress from when she walked down the aisle to Ellen in 2008. Ellen was much more casual in a blue jacket and khaki pants with sneakers.

Ellen was surprised by the renovation, thinking that she was simply attending Portia’s birthday celebration.

Ellen shared the video on her Instagram page.

“Portia surprised me at her birthday party by renewing our vows,” the comedian wrote.

“Thank you @KrisJenner for officiating and @BrandiCarlile for performing and Portia for being the best gift to me even on your birthday.”

At one point, Ellen and Portia were seen holding hands as they stared into each other’s eyes. They also held long-stemmed white flowers.

The house was huge, with high wood-beamed ceilings, natural light-wood floors, bleached-wood cabinets, and modern black-and-white paintings.

Keeping Up With The Kardashians producer and Kardashian/Jenner manager Kris was also seen at the vow renewals while serving as officiant. She read from a sheet of paper while supervising the ceremony.

Jenner wore a white coat and black leather pants as she adjusted her prescription glasses. Kris and Ellen have been close friends for decades.

Speaking in a video posted to Ellen’s YouTube channel on Thursday, Kris said: “These two were born for each other, and Corey [Gamble] and I’ve spent as much time with them as their friends, neighbors, companions over cocktail parties and late-night chats.

‘These two are couple goals that continue to amaze me with how cute they are together. A match made in heaven. Two peas in a pod. Their love and commitment to each other is amazing and it makes me so happy that they each have each other to love and care for and grow old with.”
