Elle Macpherson, 60, shows off her stunning figure in skimpy swimwear as she reveals the secrets to her age-defying beauty: ‘Glowing skin is a reflection of your spirit’

Elle Macpherson may be 60 years old, but she often amazes her fans with her age-defying looks, which make her appear decades younger.

The Australian supermodel proudly showed off the figure that made her famous in an Instagram post on Monday.

Posing in a skimpy black bikini bottom, paired with a long-sleeved crop top, she played with her angles, showing off her toned stomach and endless legs.

She wore a hat and sunglasses for the casual look, and wore a gold belly chain as she went barefoot.

The beauty was on board a yacht and enjoyed the beautiful sunset while taking some pictures.

In the lengthy caption accompanying the post, Elle shared some of her beauty philosophies.

“When it comes to beauty, I have always believed that if you are healthy on the inside, it will show on your skin,” she wrote.

‘Like everyone else, I’ve experienced both sides of this coin. When I’m not feeling my best, I often suffer from dry, irritated skin.

‘This is an intelligent and poignant signal from my body, telling me to go within. I am continually amazed by the wondrous design of nature.

‘Healthy, radiant skin is both a reflection of your spirit and the supreme intelligence of the natural world expressing itself through you.’

Elle previously attributed her timeless beauty to nourishing her body well and taking natural vitamins.

She recently shared an old interview with herself on NBC’s Megyn Kelly Today, in which she talked about her diet and how she still looks flawless at 50.

“When I turned 50, I didn’t feel or look my best,” Elle said.

‘I noticed that my skin, hair, weight… I had no inspiration, I craved sweets, and my digestion was bad.’

She continued, “So I went to my nutritionist and said, ‘Listen, something’s wrong, I need to change my lifestyle.’

“She said I was taking a lot of synthetic vitamins, so she prescribed me a high-potency multivitamin, prebiotic, and probiotic powder.

“I started taking it because I was malnourished, not sleeping much, not eating enough fruits and vegetables, and drinking too much coffee.”

The supermodel says her life was “transformed” after following her new diet plan and taking this natural multivitamin for a month.

“I saw such a change and my girlfriend, who is now my CEO, said, ‘What are you doing? You look amazing.’ Then I told her I took this green powder and it changed my life.”

Elle’s dramatic transformation led her to start her own natural supplement company and wellness empire: WellCo.

Previously a guest of Amanda Wakeley on her podcast Style DNAElle revealed her tips for a good night’s sleep after realising the importance of getting eight hours of sleep.

She said she doesn’t have a set schedule when it comes to exercise and prefers to “go with the flow” and swears by regular sessions in her infrared sauna and cold plunge pool to “reset”

She said, ‘I’m going to bed with a smile. I’m going to bed with a happy heart. And an eye mask. No clothes. My skin.’

The model also explained that she avoids caffeine, eats her last meal at 5pm and relaxes with a hot chocolate before falling asleep.

With the nickname ‘The Body’, it’s no surprise that Elle’s daily routine revolves around health and wellness.

When the alarm goes off at 5am, the first thing Elle does is ‘smile’. Coincidentally, that’s also the last thing she does before going to bed.

After grabbing a glass of water with lime and a grin, she meditates in bed for 25 minutes to take care of her “mind, body and soul,” before hopping on her bike and pedaling to the beach for a 6:30am swim.

When time is short, Elle stays closer to home, explaining, “I get outside and put my feet up. I do some yoga in the morning sun or Dr. Zach’s Four Minute Workout to boost nitric oxide.

‘Sometimes I’ll take a cold bath afterwards, followed by a matcha tea in the sun, before getting ready for the day.’

The mother of two always chooses to exercise outdoors in nature: walking, cycling, swimming or ‘just sitting in the fresh air and the sun’.

Elle recommends getting a good night’s sleep and the importance of 8 hours of sleep. She said, “I go to bed with a smile. I go to bed with a happy heart. And an eye mask. No clothes. My skin.”

She adds a collagen elixir to her morning smoothie and takes gut support and protein supplements to improve her nutrition.

Elle is a “strong believer in energy healing,” and says she regularly schedules appointments for acupuncture, chiropractic, breathing exercises, and sound therapy. She also regularly schedules Russian Banyas, an age-old tradition of steam baths where dried branches of trees or herbs called veniks are burned in a wood stove.

She follows a plant-based diet and prefers home-cooked meals that are prepared ‘with love’. Her lunches consist of locally grown and organic vegetables, hand-picked at the local farmers market.

An ‘essential’ part of Elle’s day and to beat the afternoon slump is performing an East Asian tea ceremony. Her favourites are Rooibos tea with vanilla and Earl Grey.

To ‘be at her best’, the ageless model uses a range of supplements and elixirs from her own wellness brand WelleCo.

She said she takes care of her skin and body by juicing up to four times a day, dry brushing her body and following a $1,400 skin-care routine from Dr. Barbara Sturm.

She uses a dry body brush up to three times a week “to stimulate circulation and lymphatic drainage, flush my system of toxins, and exfoliate my body for smooth, soft skin.”

To unwind in the evening, Elle likes to relax in the sauna and then take a dip in cold water, which she says is “great for detoxing, boosting the immune system, supporting the lymphatic system and for relaxation.”

One of her favorite weeknight meals is miso mushroom soup with Japanese sweet potato.

Her nightly ritual then consists of drinking a cup of WelleCo calming tea and the last thing she does before going to sleep is of course: ‘Smile. Put my hands on my solar plexus, think about what I am grateful for that day and drift off into a peaceful sleep.’
