“I wasn’t into modeling, but I love what modeling has brought me,” she said.

“I love creating and producing images and directing art and watching magic come to life and it’s been a wonderful resource for me because I travel, I’m independent and that’s why I’ve had a great career.”

Asked if modeling has opened up a lot of doors for her that she otherwise wouldn’t have, Elle said: “I think it’s about us stepping through those doors, those doors can open, but lean into your heart, trust your intuition and go “this feels good, I’m going to take a step towards it.”

Elle said she “fell into modeling” as a late teen to pay for her education, and her ultimate goal was initially to become a lawyer.

“My stepfather was a lawyer and I thought it was a very practical and stable career, but then life pulled me in a different direction,” she said.

“I wanted to be financial and independent [modelling] paid better, I worked in a pharmacy and a bar and it seemed to pay better, so I listened to my heart and took a step towards it.

“In the end, I went to work for financial independence and then my [modelling] career I applied that to brands, I had a lingerie brand and then I started investing in my own company WellCo.’
