Elle King cancels a number of shows after sustaining a concussion from falling down the stairs

Elle King had some disappointing news for fans on Thursday.

The 33-year-old country and soul musician shared that she had to cancel some of her upcoming shows after sustaining a concussion when she fell down the stairs while preparing a bottle for her 15-month-old son Lucky Levi, who received the last year.

“I slipped down the stairs doing a bottle in the middle of the night, hit my butt which resulted in a concussion,” she revealed on her Instagram stories.

Hey guys, just wanted to check in with a quick update and apologize to my fans in Tampa, Detroit, and Seattle. I share your disappointment that I had to cancel my radio shows this week,’ the message from him began.

“Nobody wants to retire from shows, especially me. I live to perform,’ the hitmaker added, before explaining what happened.

Elle also revealed that she tried to keep going, but it wasn’t possible: “I tried to keep going and played 3 shows, but the traveling, the lights, all of that just exacerbated things.”

He ended by saying, “I’d like to thank the artists who stepped in and filled my slots, as well as the radio stations for their understanding and continued support.”

“I wish you all happy and healthy holidays and I can’t wait to come back next year and sing with you soon.”

The star has had a busy couple of years, releasing his hit duet with Miranda Lambert, titled Drunk (And I Don’t Wanna Go Home) in 2021.

He later collaborated with Dierks Bentley on a song called Worth a Shot, as well as the single Try Jesus.

King will release his first full country album, Come Get Your Wife, on January 27, 2023.

The star shares her baby, which is her first child, with her fiancé Dan Tooker.

The happy couple cradled their little one in an adorable snap shared to Instagram in September 2021 and gave their followers a little background on the boy’s birth.

In March, Elle revealed that she was pregnant in a series of photos with Dan featuring ultrasound images of their son. ‘Well, we did something! @tattooker and I did a little human!’ she gushed in the caption of her.

The lovebirds had dated for about a year before getting engaged in October 2020.
