Elle Fanning shared a touching tribute to her sister Dakota as she celebrated her 29th birthday on Thursday.
The 24-year-old actress posted a stunning photo of Dakota, whom she affectionately calls Cody, along with a host of chaotic snaps from the past few years.
In the Instagram post, the sisters could be seen as they smiled broadly while standing next to a costumed character from their childhood years.
Another fun-filled snap showed Elle in a hot pink mini dress while Dakota looked on in horror during a wild night.
She wrote: ‘It’s that February time again. My beautiful sister’s birthday. And the last of her class… year 29!

Elle continued, “I wish we were celebrating on Mars 2112 tonight, partying with your own kind, but alas, you’ll have to put up with mere mortals for now, including HACKS.”
“We had a moment last year, we sat on the couch and we looked at each other and you said, ‘thank God I have a sister.'”

Elle is currently in a relationship with The Handmaid’s Tale actor Max Minghella, 37.
The four-year-old couple were first linked after meeting on the set of the 2018 film Teen Spirit, but have remained tight-lipped about their relationship.
Max was the writer and director of the film in which Elle played Violet, a small town girl who wants to fulfill her dream of singing.
Later that year, the two stars were spotted spending time together while out in London, which quickly sparked romance rumors.

The attractive couple made their debut a year later on the red carpet at the Met Gala in 2019, but they try to keep their relationship out of the public eye.
In January 2023, a source said us magazine that the couple were “in a better place” than ever and hinted that an engagement might be on the horizon.
The informant said: ‘The [coronavirus] the pandemic played a part in that, of course,” noting that the couple “don’t tend to show up in the more regular places you’d expect a high-profile couple to go to” because they’re focused on travel and work.

According to the source, their 12-year age difference has not affected them, stating: ‘The age difference is not a problem at all.

No one would be surprised if Max proposed to her soon. Chances are Elle would love it too, but he keeps those cards close to her chest.
Although the two tend to keep their relationship private, on rare occasions special and memorable moments have been shared on social media for fans.
