Elle Fanning turned heads in a radiant ensemble as she stepped out for a shopping trip in Beverly Hills on Friday.

The 24-year-old actress, who confirmed earlier this month that she had split from The Handmaid’s Tale actor Max Minghella, also celebrates her 25th birthday at Easter.

Fellow star Dakota Fanning’s younger sister wore an elegant pastel yellow off-the-shoulder dress that was made of a soft, linen material.

For a bit of color contrast with her ensemble, the blonde beauty slipped into a pair of black open-toed pumps as she sauntered under the warm sun.

In her left hand, the Hollywood actress held a pastel yellow purse that coincided with the overall color scheme of her outfit, as well as a vibrant red shopping bag.

Elle kept her accessories minimal for the day, adding a chunky gold ring on her left hand, as well as a classy gold watch on her wrist for a flashy touch.

A pair of chic sunglasses was placed atop her locks, which were parted in the middle and flowed effortlessly straight down over her shoulders.

During an interview with Fashion last year, the Maleficent actress opened up about her personal fashion sense. “I definitely express myself through clothes. I go through phases and my mood often determines what I wear.’

A fan of icons like Grace Kelly and Marilyn Monroe, as well as contemporary celebs like Alexa Chung, the star added, “I have a real duality within myself – I’m very feminine, but at the same time, I also like things that be a bit sharp and hard.’

The star also revealed that she is currently single after confirming her split from Max Minghella earlier this month during a cover story for Harpers Bazaar UK

The former couple, who had kept their relationship mostly private, first met on the set of Teen Spirit (2018), where Fanning took the lead role and Minghella directed.

Despite going their separate ways, the beauty expressed to the outlet, “But I’m a hopeless romantic.” I believe in love at first sight. Call me crazy, but I believe in those things. I feel it is my destiny.’

The actress had previously hinted at the split when she uploaded a few roles to her main TikTok page, where she tried to predict her love life shortly before Valentine’s Day. Both Elle and Max were last seen together in public in December 2022 while attending the Babylon premiere.

Fanning has been filtering through a busy schedule and will soon be appearing again as Catherine the Great on the popular Hulu series, The Great, with the third season set to premiere on May 12.

On tackling the major role, the star told Harper’s Bazaar, “I’ve played Catherine in such formative years of my life. I grew as a woman with her.’

Initially, however, she had been “afraid” of playing a more comedic role, something she hadn’t done too often. ‘I hadn’t really done much [comedy]and was very scared at first.’

“But I’m not ashamed anymore, you just have to try it, no matter how outrageous something is.”

The star-studded cast in the Emmy-nominated series also includes Nicholas Hoult, Phoebe Fox and Adam Godley.

During the series, Elle became pregnant with Peter III’s child, and she talked about how the experience had made her want children of her own in the future.

“I was obsessed with it. I had a custom bump with molded breasts that reached all the way to my neck,” the star explained.

The actress added: “The costume team told me this is pretty accurate what my body will look like when I’m pregnant… which felt kind of crazy. “I loved the way it looked. I felt like doing it, to be pregnant.’

In addition to the Hulu show, Fanning has a few other projects up her sleeve, such as starring alongside her sister, Dakota Fanning, in an adaptation of the novel titled Nightingale, written by Kristin Hannah.

The official premise follows: “The lives of two sisters living in France are torn apart at the outbreak of the Second World War,” according to a IMDB synopsis. However, the project has been delayed since 2021 and is currently still in the pre-production phase.
