Ella Richards Says Grandpa Keith Wears His Grandma’s Clothes

Keith Richards’ granddaughter Ella has given insight into her ‘mad and wacky family’ when she appears on the cover of the Tatler with leopard print and sequins.

The 26-year-old model, whose parents are Marlon Richards and Lucie de la Falaise, opened up about her family’s eccentric style during an interview with the publication.

Posing braless in a cutout suit creation, as well as an extravagant green silk number, she said: “Most of my family is either a little crazy and wacky or weird.”

They borrow each other’s clothes. My grandfather used to wear my grandmother’s clothes, and she used to wear hers,” she says, referring to rocker Keith.

In 2016, Keith himself confessed that most of the clothes he owns were borrowed from the women in his life.

The rocker was lamenting the fact that his wardrobe was raided for the band’s first major exhibition, called Flashing, which was held at the Saatchi Gallery in Chelsea, south-west London.

He said: ‘All I know is they’ve stripped me of half my wardrobe. I still use these damn things. They are not history to me, they are my clothes.

I will find more. I’ll give my old lady a touch. That’s where most of my clothes come from.

And speaking of his grandfather Keith, who confesses to being a transvestite, he said: ‘[He] She is very calm and sweet and affectionate. He is much shyer than people think.

‘My dad is louder. You can definitely feel his presence in a room. He is very intelligent. He knows everything about everything. He has read all the history books. So you really can’t beat it.

Keith had three children with model Anita Pallenberg; Marlon and his daughter Dandelion Angela.

He also had another son with the Italian actress, Tara Jo Jo Gunne, who sadly passed away from SIDS in 1976 when he was only two months old.

Keith got married Patti Hansen in 1983, with whom he has two children, daughters Theodora Dupree and Alexandra Nicole.

She pondered watching the Rolling Stones perform in Hyde Park in front of 65,000 people last year.

She said: ‘I was exhausted just standing and watching. They have a lot of adrenaline and that keeps them young. It’s very inspiring that they continue to do what they love, while they can.”

During filming, Tatler surprised Ella with a copy of the May 1993 issue and realized that the cover star was her mother.

‘Oh Lord!’ she says, stunned. ‘Can I take a picture? That’s so funny.’

Inside is a shot of her mother and uncle, reclining in a chaise longue with Great-Aunt Loulou, a chandelier in the foreground.

“That’s Loulou’s apartment in Paris,” he said.

“I went there when I was younger, it looked exactly the same, full of old furniture and fabrics. There was a lot of jewelry hanging everywhere.

She is currently dating photographer Sascha von Bismarck, and her brother Nikolai is in a relationship with supermodel Kate Moss.

But despite her rockstar family tree, she insists she lives a quiet life

She states: ‘I don’t like having to go out anywhere after six. I don’t really go to many pubs. I’m not a big drinker.

She recalled the outfit she wore recently to Tish Weinstock’s wedding, a vintage black lace John Galliano dress with black Miu Miu flats,

She said: ‘I broke my foot the night before running up the stairs at home and had to go to the ER. I did it [to the party]but I was limping and my foot was black, and I couldn’t wear heels, so I was really upset.’

Ella likes to devote her time to a rather amazing hobby.

She said: [‘Everyone makes fun of me because I love video games. I have always loved GTA [Grand Theft Auto] and Red Dead Redemption.

‘My heart starts beating fast when there’s a scary moment or you have to sneak up on someone. I love adrenaline.

‘I play alone or when I’m at home [in West Wittering]. I do not have [one of those headsets] because i never [go] anywhere.’
