Aspiring influencer Ella Nelice Cowton charged with multiple drug offences

An aspiring influencer with thousands of online followers has been charged with a range of drug offences, including supplying cannabis.

Ella Nelice Cowton, 24, appeared in the Caloundra Magistrates Court on Thursday.

The former Sunshine Coast woman now lives on the Gold Coast and is facing two charges of drug possession and one of supplying drugs, possession of anything used in the commission of an offence, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of property used in a drug offense. .

Cowton has more than 6,000 followers on Instagram and more than 7,000 on TikTok, but has set her accounts to private following the allegations.

She has yet to enter pleas to any of the charges, which relate to the alleged possession and supply of cannabis, the Gold Coast Bulletin reported.

Her lawyer Rebecca Hatcher-Anderson told the court she had received an email from the instructing law firm indicating further disclosure of evidence in the case was required.

Magistrate Catherine Benson granted Cowton bail.

The case will return to court on November 14.
