Elizabeth Hurley, 59, cuts a stylish figure in a beige faux-fur coat as she joins lookalike son Damian, 22, for some retail therapy in London

Elizabeth Hurley and her look-alike son Damian looked stylish while shopping in Chelsea on Wednesday.

The actress, 59, wrapped up warm in a chic faux fur coat and black leggings as she was pictured strolling down the street with her son, 22, after a visit to Temperley, a new flagship store on Sloane Street.

Elizabeth added inches to her frame with a pair of black knee-high boots and packed her essentials into a Gucci crossbody bag.

To complete her ensemble, the model further accessorized with a pair of ombre shades and diamond earrings.

Meanwhile, Damian opted for a black double-breasted coat with a high collar.

To complete his ensemble, he wore dark gray jeans and cool ombre tones to match his mom.

Elizabeth’s outing comes after she revealed she is no longer speaking to ex Hugh Grant after being linked to fame in THAT Versace dress at the premiere of his 1994 film Four Weddings And A Funeral.

The actress became a household name overnight thanks to the extravagant couture dress, made from a mix of black silk and Lycra, held together with oversized safety pins and borrowed from the Versace flagship store on Old Bond Street.

Likewise, Hugh also enjoyed a significant change in fortunes – both personally and professionally – thanks to his role as the perpetually bachelor Charles in director Richard Curtis’s romantic comedy.

And Elizabeth credits their relationship with helping her navigate a crucial time in her life, but admits they no longer see each other – despite still being close friends after their amicable split in 2000.

Appearing at the Bazaar At Work summit in London earlier this month, she said: “I was with my ex, Hugh Grant, so it happened to both of us at the same time.”

‘Like me, he had also worked a lot and thought he was doing quite well, until Four Weddings and a Funeral came out and suddenly it was very different: he was a phenomenon.’

‘The film was a huge success and everything changed. But there were two of us and I think that helped a lot. If you are suddenly in the spotlight, your life is not designed for it.’

She added: “You have no protection whatsoever. It was alarming. The press was much rougher in the 90s and 2000s than it is today. I really believe that people should not be as rude as they were back then.’

It comes after Elizabeth revealed she is no longer speaking to ex Hugh Grant after being linked to fame in THAT Versace dress at the premiere of his 1994 film Four Weddings And A Funeral.

‘[I] I think it gives you a bond when you go into the trenches with someone. I mean, he’s married and has five kids. I hardly ever see him, but he is still close to my heart.’

Looking back on her iconic dress – borrowed as a last-minute favor from Dean Aslett, then Head of Womenswear and Atelier at Versace – Elizabeth admits she was stunned by the attention it received.

“It was very strange,” she recalled. ‘I’d been working for a few years and in my mind I thought I was quite famous – I’d been through a few things.’

‘To my family I was a success; but I had no idea what it actually meant to really be in the public eye. That was a real shock to your psyche.’

Now that she is an established star herself, she helps her son Damian – her only child from a former relationship with American businessman Steve Bing – to find his own way as a budding film director.

The debut feature Strictly Confidential – both written and directed by the 22-year-old – was released in 2023 to lukewarm reviews.

“He had also been working a lot and thought he was doing quite well, until Four Weddings and a Funeral came out and suddenly it was very different – he was a phenomenon,” she said (pictured together in 1996)

Much of the criticism revolved around Elizabeth herself, whose starring role in the film includes a raunchy lesbian sex scene with a woman thirty years her junior – filmed by her son.

“It’s kind of interesting because I’m a single mom and he’s a single kid, so we spend a huge amount of time together by default,” she explained.

‘When he was very young, he became fascinated by my company. He started making stills and mini films when he was nine or ten. I gave him a camcorder and he let me be in all his films.’

‘I always played the evil queen. My mother was in it, Hugh was in it, my ex-husband, everyone got to be in his films as he progressed from baby films to more adult films.”

‘He’s actually been directing me for ten years, so nothing has really changed. I was just used to it.’
