Elizabeth Hurley stunned in a dazzling pink dress as she left the star-studded Breast Cancer Research Foundation Hot Pink Party 2024 in New York City on Tuesday evening.
The 58-year-old actress has been a proud ambassador of The Estée Lauder Companies’ Breast Cancer Campaign since 1996.
After joining the campaign nearly thirty years ago, Elizabeth has continued to champion the campaign and speak openly about breast cancer to raise money worldwide to find a cure.
Elizabeth opened the inspiring evening with a heartfelt tribute to the late founder Evelyn H. Lauder – who passed away in 2011.
She said, “Evelyn and Larry [Evelyn’s friend] sat around the kitchen table to talk about breast cancer and in Evelyn’s own words she said, “Women all over the world are dying from breast cancer and no one seems to be doing anything about it.”

“So Evelyn and Larry decided to change that.”
The charity gala, which included Karlie Kloss, raised an incredible $11 million.
During the festivities, William P. Lauder, Evelyn’s son – executive chairman of Estee Lauder – was honored with the Evelyn H. Lauder Spirit of Philanthropy Award.
The Breast Cancer Research Foundation “is the largest private funder of breast cancer research in the world,” according to its official website.
The foundation also helps “invest in the best minds in science – and foster interdisciplinary collaboration – to explore every aspect of the disease, from prevention to metastasis.”
During a recent interview with WWD earlier this week, William discussed the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
‘My mother’s vision, 30 years ago, together with Dr. Larry Norton, was to create an effort and a foundation to raise awareness and funds to find a cure for breast cancer,” the businessman stated.
“The work done over the past thirty years has resulted in tremendous success in treatment, care and survival.”

Lauder continued, “Many people would not be here without that vision, and I am honored to continue the passion my mother had for this mission.”
The foundation has raised approximately $1 billion since its inception, and although the death rates of people diagnosed with breast cancer have declined, he discussed how women continue to be diagnosed with the disease.
“Unfortunately, there are still people who are diagnosed with breast cancer and suffer consequences from it, and so there is still good cause and reason for us to continue to focus on that.”
‘The combination of more people being diagnosed, and progress being made towards finding a cure and reducing the impact of treatments for people who are diagnosed, gives us all hope and motivation,” William added.
