Elizabeth Hurley, 58, reveals plans to make ANOTHER film with her son Damian, 22 – as she addresses THAT racy lesbian sex scene in Strictly Confidential

Elizabeth Hurley has revealed that she plans to make another film with her son Damian, but this time she won’t be in front of the camera.

The mother-son duo made headlines earlier this year after the release of Damian’s directorial debut, Strictly Confidential, which saw the 58-year-old actress take part in a steamy lesbian sex scene with her 28-year-old costar Pear Chiravara.

The controversial thriller was ultimately savaged by critics who described it as a “horrible drama” that played out like a “daytime soap opera.”

But in a new interview, Damian revealed his mother is already on board with his next feature film, albeit as a producer, while Elizabeth hit back at the reaction to her racy scenes.

“I’ve written the following script… It’s a film we’re putting together now,” Damian, 22, told Social Life magazine.

Elizabeth quickly interjected, “I won’t be here. I’ll be the producer of it.’

In Damian’s directorial debut, Elizabeth plays a mother named Lily, who welcomes her daughter’s friends to her Caribbean estate the year after the mysterious deaths of her daughter and her husband.

During the journey, a number of secrets are revealed, including Lily’s love affair with her daughter’s friend.

Speaking about the steamy scene between the pair, Elizabeth previously told TooFab: “Well, it was a really important part of the storytelling, when Mia, our main character, is searching for why her best friend [Elizabeth’s character’s daughter] committed suicide.

“It was so essential to [the storytelling] that actually physically filming it wasn’t even something we talked about. We just knew that the impact it would have on the story and everything else was just our job.”

She emphasized that the scene was not shot just for shock value, adding that she always stays away from films that have salacious moments to stun the audience.

Speaking to Social Life Magazine Editor-in-Chief Devorah Rose for the Memorial Day Cover Story, Elizabeth explained that the scene wasn’t nearly as scandalous as it seemed.

“Damian had this idea that you could make something so sensual and interesting without actually being naked, and not many people would have thought of that,” the Bedazzled star said.

‘There has been such a fuss about these scenes. But actually there’s nothing gratuitous in it – no gratuitous nudity whatsoever – and I really appreciated that.’

Damian added: ‘I think there’s definitely a time and place for nudity in films, but I’ve never really liked it in sex scenes. I think having someone walking around naked in the morning drinking coffee in a scene is so much more effective.

‘I just don’t like toplessness for the sake of toplessness, or nudity for the sake of nudity when it doesn’t have to be there.’

Elizabeth, whose film credits include Austin Powers and Bedazzled, appeared to criticize bad fathers as she praised her son for switching gender roles in Strictly Confidential.

Damian changed the plot so that the father died and the wife was left behind.

“Well, it’s kind of interesting when you change the gender of the role because it changes everything,” Elizabeth said. “One of the biggest things that changed is that it was somehow more painful for the mother to be the one to betray her daughter’s trust.

‘Damian has given me a great role because it is new to see. I don’t want to see any father behave badly again – in real life or in fiction.’

Elizabeth fathered her only child during a short-lived relationship with American film producer Steve Bing, not long after splitting from Hugh Grant in 2000.

She gave birth to Damian in 2002, but the businessman disputed paternity, claiming they were in a non-exclusive relationship at the time.

Although a DNA test revealed that Steve was Damian’s father, he never became a part of his life and it is believed that they never even met.

The businessman died in 2020 when he jumped from the 27th floor of his apartment building in Los Angeles.
