The talented star promoted her latest historical biography entitled Call Jane, which will officially premiere in theaters later this month on October 28.

Talking about the script, she said, “For me, when I first read it, I thought, ‘Oh, this will be such a great way to share a little bit of history of these very revolutionary women in Chicago.”

The film’s premise, which is based on true events, follows a woman with a life-threatening pregnancy who “lives in a time in America where she can’t get a legal abortion and works with a group of suburban women to help,” according to the film. IMDB.

The setting of Call Jane is set in the late 1960s, before Roe Vs. Wade had happened.

The upcoming film not only stars Elizabeth but also features a talented cast including Sigourney Weaver and Wunmi Mosaku.

When to talk to ET Canada during the red carpet premiere of Call Jane earlier this month, the actress further elaborated on the film’s release.

“I definitely think we have a chance to remind people what our country was like before Roe v Wade for pregnant people seeking abortion health care,” she stated.

The film will officially premiere nationwide for fans and audiences later this month on October 28.
