Elizabeth and Damian Hurley step out in New York after she defended her lesbian sex scene directed by her son in his film Strictly Confidential

Elizabeth Hurley and her son Damian both looked chic as they arrived on the set of the television show The View in New York City on Saturday.

Actress Elizabeth, 58, opted for a stylish white trouser suit and wore the jacket over a matching top with a plunging neckline and lace trim.

She wore a pair of light beige open-toed platform heels and shielded her eyes behind dark sunglasses.

Damian, 22, wore a black top and matching trousers, with a pair of black shoes and sunglasses.

Film star Elizabeth and her son Damian have come under fire after he directed her racy lesbian sex scene in his upcoming film Strictly Confidential.

Elizabeth raised eyebrows for her steamy scene with another woman in the raunchy trailer for her upcoming film Strictly Confidential; which was directed by her son Damian.

But the star insists it wasn’t just a ‘stimulant’ moment but an important part of the film’s plot.

In Damian’s directorial debut, Elizabeth plays a mother named Lily, who welcomes her daughter’s friends to her Caribbean estate the year after the mysterious deaths of her daughter and her husband.

During the journey, a number of secrets are revealed, including Lily’s love affair with her daughter’s friend.

Elizabeth talked about the steamy sex scene between the pair, directed by her real son Damian TooFab: “Well, it was a really important part of the storytelling, when Mia, our main character, is looking for the reason why her best friend (Elizabeth’s character’s daughter) committed suicide.

“It was so integral to the storytelling that actually physically filming it wasn’t even something we really talked about.

“We just knew that the impact it would have on the story and everything else was just our job.”

She insists that the scene was not shot just for shock value, adding that she always stays away from films with salacious moments intended to stun the audience.

The movie star said, “For me, if I get a script and I feel like something is being put into it unnecessarily – which has nothing to do with storytelling – from the time I was a beginner I would say: “I don’t understand that, I don’t understand that, I don’t want to be part of that.”

“It’s thrown into my head somewhere by a male executive and I’ve never been a part of that.

‘I wouldn’t have been involved in this, but that wasn’t the case. It was so integral. It was part of the storytelling, it wasn’t just a sex scene used for titillation.”

It comes after Elizabeth and her son Damian came under furious fire from a professional psychotherapist over their controversial new film collaboration, which saw the actress directed by her child while performing a lesbian sex scene.

While Elizabeth claimed to feel ‘liberated’ by having a family member around to film the challenging scenes, couples therapy star Dr Jenn Mann has criticized her actions.

According to the licensed marriage, family and child therapist, filming the scenes constitutes a major boundary crossing between parent and child, and she would advise against simulating sex in the presence of your child.

Jen told me TMZ she found the actress’s comments about the scenes “liberating”, “bizarre” – and inconsistent with a healthy parent-child dynamic.

She told the publication that she believes that even though Damian is an adult, directing his own mother’s erotic scenes crosses the boundaries between parent and child.

Elizabeth, who shares Damian with ex Steve Bing, previously told Access Hollywood that she felt “safe and cared for” while filming the movie.

“It’s relaxing to know that there’s someone behind the camera watching you,” the Austin Powers star explained, adding that this was especially important when filming this movie.
