Eleven schoolchildren were injured, seven of them in critical condition, after a summer camp bus in Idaho rolled over the highway.
Police said the bus was carrying 30 campers and staff back to Boise from the Treasure Valley YMCA’s camp at Horsethief Reservoir when the horrific accident happened.
All the teens on the bus were between the ages of 13 and 18. All have been taken to a local hospital for a check-up, the Idaho state police said.
The Boise County coroner’s office had received no reports of fatalities as of 5:45 p.m., but shocking images of the crash are beginning to circulate online.
A photo taken at the scene shows the bus tipped on its side, the wheels off the ground and smoke billowing out of it.

The bus blocked all lanes of Highway 55, while emergency services arrived to assist.
The bus was in convoy with three other buses, which were not involved in the accident.
In social media posts, the Idaho State Police warned motorists to seek alternate routes.
“Idaho State Police are investigating an accident on SH55 at mile marker 83, north of Banks,” the message read.
“Both directions of SH55 are blocked. Motorists must find an alternative route and expect delays.’

YMCA Treasure Valley President David Duro shared KTVB“What an unfortunate end to what was undoubtedly a great camp experience for these kids.
As a parent, I know what it’s like to worry about your child. That something like this happens is really a tragedy.’
Duro also said they were working hard to reunite parents with their children.
