Elden Ring Nightreign will be playable a little earlier in a beta test next year

Read descriptions of Elden Ring Night Reign is a lot like reading the early descriptions of Elden Ring before it came out. It was an open world RPG from a studio that hadn’t done anything like this before. And now it surprises us again with a cooperative run-based roguelike set in a parallel universe. Fortunately, the mystery of how it actually works won’t remain unsolved for long thanks to a limited network test taking place in February.

FromSoftware opens registrations for the Night Reign network test on January 10. It’s not open to everyone, but the few who do participate are able to participate the website. It could also be limited to the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X if the logos on the page are to be believed. Sorry, PC players.

If it’s something like the Elden Ring network test, it can be a much bigger part of the experience than “one part” makes it sound. Players spent hours exploring Limgrave and answering countless questions about what the final game would actually look like, even if it was ostensibly designed to put pressure on the servers. The upcoming beta could be there Night rain bizarre pitch starts to make a lot more sense.

According to previews of PC gamer And IGN, Night Reign combines elements of battle royales and roguelikes with the brutal combat of Elden Ring. It breaks a lot of the original game’s rules to fit the run-based structure, and looks like it may remix familiar bosses from the game. Dark souls – almost like a mod. You don’t even create your own character, but choose from eight unique heroes. And each time you return, the entire landmass will randomize the loot and monster locations.

Night Reign is the last thing you would expect as a follow-up to this Elden Ring and I suspect there will be a lot of competition for the network test. So good luck, fellow Tarnished. Anyone who doesn’t get on board will have to wait for the full release of Elden Ring Night Reign sometime in 2025 on PS5, Xbox Series
