Ekin-Su and Davide: Homecomings FIRST LOOK!

They discussed meeting each other’s families and hometowns while spending the summer together at the Love Island villa.

And Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Davide Sanclimenti have made their dream a reality in a first look at their new fly-on-the-wall series, Ekin-Su and Davide: Homecomings.

In the ITV2 series, the reality star couple visits each other’s families in their native country while experiencing the culture of their partner’s hometown.

During their journey, the couple enjoy a Turkish bath and learn family recipes with Ekin-Su’s grandmother as they were driven around in a car by Davide.

Of the experience, Davide said, ‘Well, I loved the Turkish bath experience. It’s really hot there and you get a massage afterwards.

‘I felt relaxed afterwards and I would recommend it to anyone. We also had a lovely romantic dinner in Italy and it reminded us of our last date at the Love Island Villa with the candles and pretty lights.

Ekin-Su said, “Yeah, I really loved that date too! I suggest going to the countryside in Italy. I fell in love with Davide’s hometown because I want to live in the countryside one day, it would be so relaxing. I would like to grow my own fruits and vegetables. I would also have my own wine bar.’

Ekin-Su and Davide look as much in love as they did at the villa as they make their way to Verona, Italy, where they visited Juliette’s balcony from Shakespeare’s tragic play.

They also go on a candlelight date during one episode, which she admitted reminded them of their last date at the Love Island mansion.

Davide not only drove them across Italy in a Fiat 500, but also took Ekin-Su on a moped ride through the countryside in one teaser snap.

The first footage shows Ekin-Su and Davide catching up with her brother Arda, her grandmother and Davide’s grandparents.

In discussing the experience they had, Ekin-Su revealed, “I was very excited to meet all of Davide’s family and learn more about Davide’s culture.

“I was so excited to go on a road trip because we talked about it at the Villa and it’s unreal that it actually happened! I was also really looking forward to Davide driving us around.’

Meanwhile, Davide reflected, “I was looking forward to meeting Ekin’s parents and all her family in Turkey and I was also looking forward to meeting her my family in Italy.

“I’ve always said at the Villa that I’m looking forward to bringing Ekin-Su to Italy, so I was just so excited to finally bring her to my country, show her around and take her out to some great Italian food . We had such a good time together.

They were also asked how it felt to go home with the other person by their side for the first time.

Davide said, “It was surreal at first because I didn’t expect to enter the Villa and then fall in love and bring the person I love to my hometown.

“But at the same time I was so excited and really enjoying all those special moments. I will cherish them.’

Ekin-Su admitted to having her own “pinch me” moments, saying, “It felt too good to be true, I kept thinking how is my grandma doing here in Turkey? It was really magnificent.’

Despite the new dynamic, Ekin-Su admitted that at no point during the trip did she feel nervous or “out of her comfort zone.”

She said, “I didn’t feel out of my comfort zone at all. I was very excited the whole way through on both trips. There was something new and exciting to look forward to every day. Davide has planned great surprises for both of us.’

Davide added, “Ekin thought maybe camping was out of my comfort zone. I went camping when I was younger and so was Ekin and when we camped together we realized we both love it.

“I love that Ekin enjoys the simple things and the outdoors, that’s really nice.”

Ekin-Su joked, “Yeah, I didn’t know what Davide’s expectations would be at first and I wasn’t sure if he would like camping either.

‘We heard there were bears and pigs around! I kept saying honey, we’re going in a caravan and staying at a campsite. How exciting!’

They even tried to learn each other’s languages, as Ekin-Su admitted that in Italy she kept saying “Ciao Bella” to everyone.

During the series, they embark on an eight-hour road trip in a campervan to Ekin-Su’s family village of Odemis.

Ekin-Su said, “They say road trips bring you closer together and when we were in the RV I was so thankful to Davide for driving us around all the time.

‘It was really nice. We had so many great conversations as we drove around. We also sang a lot and played a few games of eye spy. We just had so much fun messing around!”

When asked if they have any advice for people who have never been in a motorhome before, Ekin-Su said, “Bring lots of food and have a great playlist. Music is important. Also make sure you have enough petrol!

Davide added: ‘Yes, we like music. A good playlist is essential.’

Ekin-Su discussed their nerves before meeting their in-laws, saying, “I wasn’t real.” I was a little nervous about meeting Davide’s father since I hadn’t met him yet, but I loved his father.

“I had already met his mother and his sister and before going to Italy I used to talk to his mother and sister on WhatsApp.

Davide insisted, “I wasn’t really nervous. I really liked Ekin’s grandma because we got along so well, especially when we cooked together. My mother said Ekin could cook very well when they cooked together.’
