Eiza Gonzalez is ROASTED for claiming she’s missed out on movie roles for being too pretty: ‘She can’t act her way out of a paper bag!’

Eiza Gonzalez was roasted online after she claimed she missed out on film roles because she was “too pretty.”

The 34-year-old actress indicated that her good looks have hurt her career, although many fans seemed to think the lackluster chances had more to do with her talent.

In a new interview with In style Eiza said: ‘I remember being told for so many projects, “She’s too beautiful for the role. She’s too attractive for the role.” Then I would say: what is Margot Robbie? She’s the hottest, most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen in my life!’

The Mexican star added that Latinas are held to a different standard, and admitted that she had long had an “identity crisis” and even considered shaving her head in an attempt to boost her prospects.

Following the interview, many took to social media to express their surprised reactions, with one commenter writing on Twitter: ‘She can’t get herself out of a paper bag!’

“No, she just stinks of acting,” another commenter added.

“Damn, like you’re on better behavior…” someone else wrote.

“I have another idea why she wasn’t getting roles,” someone else chimed in.

A number of comments suggested that Margot Robbie and Scarlett Johansson’s careers were flourishing despite their good looks.

“Yes, I’m sure that’s why,” read another comment.

Someone else wrote: ‘Glad she thinks about herself so much.’

Many had trouble believing that this was the reason she missed out on roles: “That probably never happened.”

Yet another commenter called the actress “vain,” while someone else pointed out that she also probably “got a lot of roles because she’s beautiful,” not in spite of it.

In the interview, Eiza talked about how she considered shaving her head.

‘I thought, “Am I shaving my head? Am I making myself less attractive? Am I making myself more attractive? Am I not dressing super hot or covering myself up all the time?”

Meanwhile, Eiza previously called for greater representation of Latinas in the fashion and beauty industries after appearing in a campaign for Louis Vuitton.

The actress, who was born in Mexico City, told Vogue: “I grew up watching all these beauty campaigns in the 1990s and I didn’t see many Mexican women in them, especially in these large-scale brands.

“I was always kind of sold that I had to be a specific style of woman to be that, and the fact that girls in Mexico who are brown and Latina, like me, will see a campaign like this and recognize themselves in it with the De The size of the brand makes me so honored and happy.

‘It normalizes an image for people and makes people feel involved and seen.’

She posed for the Spring 2024 cover of InStyle this month. The brunette beauty looked stunning in an all-grey ensemble.

She opted for a form-fitting tank top that showed off her toned figure with trendy flowy pants. Her snake-shaped diamond necklace served as a stunning statement piece. And she added natural makeup with a bold red lip that made her pout stand out.

During her interview, she talked about her love life. And Eiza admitted that after being cheated on, she now only dates men who have been in therapy.

The actress said that when she was a teen idol, she heard that her boyfriend had recorded an intimate video with another girl. She claims that, like everyone else, she learned of his infidelity through “the cover of a magazine.”

But it didn’t leave her in a mess. She decided to take the unfortunate situation and turn it into something positive. Since then, she found her greatest success.

The Mexico City resident reflected on the scandal, saying that as a young actress in Los Angeles she faced a mix of partying and crying. So she worked tirelessly to distract herself from the failed relationship with her career.

While she was distraught and emotional, she revealed that her mother pushed her and made movements as she healed. When she updated her IMDB page and got a manager in the United States, the job offers started pouring in.

Eiza has a number of projects in the pipeline, including a role in one episode of the new prime series Mr. & Mrs. Smith.

She has also appeared in three episodes of 3 Body Problem, as well as The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, Ash, La Maquina, Fountain of Youth and an untitled Guy Ritchie project.

Eiza became a household name after starring in the Argentine series Suena conmigo, and also as Santanico Pandemonium in From Dusk till Dawn: The Series developed by Robert Rodriguez, Baby Driver and Alita: Battle Angel.
