Eighties teen heartthrob is unrecognizable during rare TV interview

Guess who! The ’80s teen heartthrob looks unrecognizable in a rare TV interview as he reveals his exciting new career move.

She became a child star in the 1980s with roles in popular movies and TV shows.

Perhaps best known for starring in the American sitcoms Blossom and Melissa & Joey, the now 46-year-old later achieved success as a musician.

His acting career began with a Cracker Jack commercial before appearing as a musical guest on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson.

As a teenager, his popularity grew when he was cast in the comedy series Brotherly Love with his real-life brothers Matthew and Andrew.

The former heartthrob made a rare TV appearance with his brothers on the Australia show. the morning program on Friday to promote his latest project.

So did you guess who it was? That’s right, it’s Joey Lawrence!

The Lawrence brothers joined hosts Larry Emdur and Kylie Gillies to talk about their new podcast, appropriately titled Brotherly Love, which launched this week.

Viewers were shocked to see how much he had changed, as he was interviewed via Zoom wearing a long-sleeved jean shirt and backwards-facing cap.

Their podcast came about after they decided to work together again two years ago, after producing a series of movies together.

“The pandemic really forced us to do it,” Matthew said.

Joey, Matthew and Andrew were also motivated to give their fans information about their lives and careers that they hadn’t heard before.

Joey (in a recent photo) now sports a shorter hairstyle and has ditched his late ’80s/early ’90s fashion sense.

“We’ve never shown people how we relate to each other,” Joey said.

He said nothing would be off limits on the podcast as the brothers delve into all aspects of their lives.

“We’ve had ups and downs, but nobody’s seen that,” Joey added.

The talented trio said they plan to get in front of the camera once more and create new music together in the near future.
