Eighties pop icon looks unrecognisable as she shops in London with her husband – but can YOU guess who she is?

She’s been around the world more than once since releasing her first single, but the 1980s pop icon was closer to home when she stepped out on Monday.

The iconic Mancunian singer looked unrecognizable as she enjoyed a day of shopping on London’s Regent Street with her husband, Ian Devaney, 59.

Spotted at a DJI store shopping for drones, the 58-year-old looked relaxed in a brown double-breasted blazer.

She paired the blazer with blue fold-up jeans and lace-up boots before further accessorizing with a gray scarf and a dark blue beanie.

Meanwhile, her husband looked smartly casual in a gray blazer and black sweater as they walked hand in hand down the street – but can you guess who she is?

It’s none other than Lisa Stansfield!

The Manchester native was catapulted to superstardom with her 1989 hit All Around the World before going on to sell a staggering £20 million records worldwide.

She has released eight albums, duets with Queen and George Michael, and appeared on the soundtrack of iconic films The Bodyguard and Indecent Proposal.

She has won numerous Brit Awards and Ivor Novello Awards, received two Grammy nominations and has also dabbled in acting. She appeared in 2008’s The Edge of Love alongside Keira Knightley and in the 2014 drama Northern Soul.

All Around The World earned the singer two Grammy Award nominations and her first solo album Affection is her best-selling album to date.

However, she does not have fond memories of the song.

Lisa revealed in 2018 that she was ‘haunted’ by the way she looked in the 1989 music video.

During an episode of Lorraine, the singer admitted that she doesn’t like watching the video again, despite the song being her most successful single to date.

The Search For A Star winner admitted: ‘I had a funny weird fat face. It was done in a hurry. And thirty years later it still haunts me.’

She revealed that she is still grateful for the opportunities she had, adding: “People say to me about my music ‘it got me through university, it saved my marriage, it helped me come out to come.” It’s great to be a part of someone’s life in a big way.”

However, there is a downside to the industry as Lisa admitted she struggled to cope with fame.

“It got to the point where I just couldn’t leave the house or go to the shops, it made me nervous,” she explained. ‘We [Lisa and husband Ian Devaney] I ended up living in Ireland for fourteen years to escape it.’

Lisa married music producer Ian in New York in 1998, after working together since the mid-1980s.

The pair first met when they were at school and both acted in a school play.

A few years later they met and formed the band Blue Zone with Andy Morris.

The band broke up when Lisa went solo, but they all continued to work together with Lisa providing vocals and Ian and Andy working on production.
