A new poll shows that eight in 10 swing-state voters believe President Joe Biden is too old to run again, a serious warning sign for the 81-year-old president, who will have to sway voters in those key states convince you to vote for him. to win the 2024 elections.

The Bloomberg News/Morning Consult poll conducted in mid-February of seven critical swing states found that voters from all demographic groups, including some of the Democratic Party’s more reliable constituencies, think the president is too old.

Less than half of respondents said Biden’s likely Republican rival, former President Donald Trump, is too old at 77.

The poll showed Trump leading Biden in all seven battleground states: Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.

While the economy remains the main issue, concerns about immigration have increased in every swing state.

The poll found that a majority of swing-state voters blame Biden and Democrats in Congress for the surge in immigrants.

While Republicans have criticized the administration over immigration, the White House has blamed hardline Republicans for crushing a bipartisan deal in the Senate to address the border earlier this year.

While Biden is taking increasing blame for the border crisis and the vast majority are concerned about his age, Trump is not without his own vulnerabilities.

Nearly six in 10 swing state voters believe Trump is “dangerous.” Even among those who plan to vote for the former president, 28 percent agreed that Trump is dangerous.

As many of the half of swing state voters also say they would not be willing to vote for Trump if he were convicted of a crime.

The former president faces 91 criminal charges in four separate cases involving allegations of hush money payments to porn star Stormy Daniels, mishandling of classified documents and efforts to overturn the 2020 election.
