An egg was thrown at King Charles again today, according to police, who arrested a man in his 20s on suspicion of common assault.
The monarch is believed to have been attacked while out for a walk in St George’s Square in Luton.
Charles had been temporarily led away from the crowds outside Luton town hall by his security shortly after arriving.
He then went on to shake hands with members of the public again after being moved to a different area.
King Charles is held back by a security guard after an egg is apparently thrown by someone in the crowd.
It comes exactly one month after 74-year-old Charles was dumped with four eggs in York by a man shouting “this country was built on the blood of slaves.”
The protester was later identified as Patrick Thelwell, a 23-year-old Extinction Rebellion activist who once ran as a Green Party candidate.
