Eerie moment LA man abandons his luxurious $5m home to flames as wildfires edge closer
An LA man was filmed abandoning his $5 million luxury home, which he shares with his parents, as wildfires began to consume the property.
Orly Israel, 30, was seen in a clip shared on social media leaving the $5 million property in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood of Los Angeles.
Close friend Tanner Charles had shared updates as Israel tried to prepare the house for the wildfires, which saw the entire house flooded.
However, about three hours after the scene was extinguished, the backyard of the property was torn apart by the fires.
Israel can be seen fighting the fires with a garden hose before deciding to flee. Charles records their departure and tells him, “Okay dude, let’s get out of here.”
Charles says a prayer as a tree in the front yard also catches fire, the entire street is thick with smoke and burning embers fall everywhere.
In an update on his own social media, Israel informed his followers that they both made it out safely.
He said: ‘We don’t know if the house has burned down or not, but the whole stockade is on fire, so it’s gloomy.’

Brave firefighters have been battling to extinguish the fires that have engulfed the area and other parts of Southern California.
Thousands like Israel have made the desperate escape from their burning homes through flames, wild winds and clouds of smoke.
In the frantic rush for safety, roads became impassable in some areas after dozens of people abandoned their vehicles and fled on foot, some with suitcases.
The flames were pushed by Santa Ana winds, which reached 60 mph in some places on Tuesday before gusting to 80 mph on Wednesday morning.
The National Weather Service has warned that they could reach speeds of up to 100 mph in mountains and foothills.
Devastatingly, there will be no reprieve as meteorologist Peter Mullinax says winds will continue throughout Wednesday and Thursday.
Mullinax said: “Winds are expected to continue throughout the day and into Thursday, providing little relief.”
On Tuesday night, wind speeds were so high that it was too dangerous for firefighting planes to take to the skies, further hampering the battle.

Governor Gavin Newsom declared a state of emergency and visited the Pacific Palisades.
Officials have yet to provide an estimate of the number of structures lost in the area, but say 30,000 have fled under evacuation orders.
As of this morning, more than 340,000 people were without power in Los Angeles County Power outage.
Reality TV star Spencer Pratt, 41, and his wife Heidi Montag, 38, lost their home in the Palisades as a result of the raging wildfire.
Oscar-nominated actor James Woods fled his area home after sharing images of a house near his own going up in flames.
Woods also stated that he and many of his neighbors no longer have insurance after a “major company” allegedly canceled many of the policies four months ago.

The latest update from the LA Fire Department warned that the situation remains ‘very dangerous’ and wind speeds are ‘deteriorating’
In addition to the Palisades, the Hurst Fire is burning across 500 acres just north of San Fernando, and the Eaton Fire in Altadena, seen here, has burned 1,000 acres.
Star Wars actor Mark Hamill revealed he was bundled out of his Malibu home on Tuesday night during a ‘last-minute’ evacuation.
He said there were “small fires” burning on “both sides of the road” as he approached the Pacific Coast Highway and called the blaze the “most horrific fire” since 1993.
Evacuation zones have been expanding by the hour as officials warned the worst of the fires is yet to come.
As the fires continue to rage and decimate areas, authorities have said there is ‘no way’ to control the blaze.
