The Edmonton Oilers fan who went viral for flashing her breasts during an NHL game has revealed she thought she managed to bury the video before it went viral.
After days of silence, ‘Kate’ came forward and spoke to the hockey podcast Spittin’ Chiclets about her whirlwind 15 minutes of fame. She was filmed flashing the camera as she celebrated the Oilers’ victory over the Dallas Stars in Game 5 of the Western Conference finals on May 31.
The clip went viral, porn sites tried to find her and offer her work, and yet she remained “the most mysterious woman in hockey,” as the podcast described her, before finally getting her on the show.
At first, Kate, who is 34, seemed reluctant to expose herself. She wore sunglasses and a cap at the start of her performance, before delving deeper into her unwanted fame.
“I’m still trying to participate a little bit in the witness relocation program here,” she joked. ‘It wasn’t planned or anything, it just happened.
The viral Edmonton Oilers fan who went viral for flashing her breasts during a game is named “Kate,” according to a Barstool Sports podcast she appeared on Monday
“It was like that night and I was on Twitter (that she saw the video for the first time). And I deleted it, I reported it.
“I was like, ‘Okay, it’s gone, we dealt with it,’ and then it came back with a vengeance. It wasn’t someone I was with (who posted it).”
In the days before appearing on the podcast, Kate had deleted all her social media accounts to hide her identity as the video was viewed millions of times on social media.
She said her colleagues – at an oil field in Canada – are “sure” it is her in the images.
“Only people I’ve really known have said anything,” she added, before revealing that she feels overwhelmed by people who say she can inspire the team to overcome a 2-0 deficit in the Stanley Cup series against Florida Panthers undo.
“Honestly, when they lost the game last night, I wanted to get in my truck and just drive out to the bush and build a little hut out of fucking sticks and live in it after seeing everyone being like, ‘Ah, we need her.’
‘I don’t understand how they need me. But apparently I made myself this person and now I don’t know what to do about it. I’m not in a position to talk motivationally to anyone.’

She added that people at her job in an oil field recognize her from the video, filmed on May 31
The Oilers trail the Panthers 2-0 but host the next two games in the series against Rodgers Place in Edmonton. Game 3 is Thursday night and Game 4 is Saturday.
Kate said she doesn’t have tickets, but the Spittin’ Chiclets podcast invited her to participate in one of the games later this week.
“It definitely sounds like an interesting opportunity,” she said. “With my work I can see what this week should look like.”
