Tom Daley’s Oscar-winning husband twisted the wrist of a BBC presenter who then punched him from behind in a nightclub brawl in Soho, a court heard this week. Still, Dustin Lance Black and Daley may still have something to celebrate.
For I can reveal that Daley, who won gold at the Tokyo Olympics, will receive a payout of £4 million.
The windfall comes from the voluntary liquidation of Rip Ten, the private company the diver used to channel his earnings.
The expected payment is set out on a solvency statement signed by Daley in May and filed with Companies House.
It reports expected asset realizations of £4 million, including £3.83 million in cash. After accounting for £9,995 in bills, liquidators RG Insolvency expect a £4m surplus from the liquidation.

Daley, 29, founded Rip Ten in 2010 and is the sole director and shareholder.
He earns a fortune from television and media appearances and can get £5,000 per post on Instagram where he has 3.2 million followers. The Olympic champion, who hosted the reality TV show Splash, is expected to double future earnings through sponsorships. He became the very first face of makeup giant Rimmel London last year.

Edwardes, a BBC Three presenter and party planner, accepted a warning in February over the blow that followed after a drink was spilled, Westminster Magistrates’ Court heard.

Adrita Ahmed, the prosecutor, told the court: ‘Essentially it is an altercation in a nightclub. The Crown’s case is that the defendant seized and twisted Mrs Edwardes’ wrist, and the drink spilled over her.’
Black, who married the 2017 Olympic champion diver, had flown to London from Los Angeles expecting to face trial, but the hearing was postponed due to lack of evidence from the prosecution.
The screenwriter, who wore a dark suit in the dock, wiped away tears when Chief Judge Paul Goldspring told him the proceedings would take another three months.
Black, who won the Oscar for best original screenplay with the 2008 drama Milk, denies common assault and is now on trial in November.
Teenagers in Pembrokeshire were amazed when Led Zeppelin star Robert Plant started speaking to them in Welsh.
“One of our employees left a beer on the bar,” said Craig Mitchell, landlord of the Harbor Inn in Solva. “He brought it to him and said in Welsh, ‘Here’s your drink, enjoy it’.” We have since learned that he is very interested in Welsh history.’
It is clear that the singer, who turns 75 this month, knows that the Land Of My Fathers is indeed the Stairway To Heaven.
Comic Jack Dee didn’t see the funny side of awkward steps in his 18th-century home. And now he’s filed plans to get rid of them—to avoid tripping over them.
Dee, 61, is believed to be tired of constantly falling over four steps at his West Sussex cottage. So now he wants to level his landing floor so he only has to climb one step.
But he needs a building permit from the council, as his house is listed as a monument and is located in a conservation area.
Chichester District Council officials are expected to make a decision on the ‘modest adjustments’ next month.
Kylie wasn’t so lucky in the studio
Kylie Minogue was transformed from a Neighbors actress to a pop star by ’80s ‘Hit Factory’ Stock Aitken Waterman, but her long-serving manager, Terry Blamey, isn’t a fan of the producing trio.
“They kicked Kylie out of the studio and[they]said, ‘Listen, we’re going to write one more line of the song, get out of the studio,'” which was terribly rude. Having an artist record a song and not let her hear it in the studio is rare and quite insulting.”
He adds: ‘It was not an easy working relationship. It was prolific and successful, but it was disrespectful to the artist. By the end of the second album, Kylie had had enough. They were geniuses at making a pop single, but geniuses are often not so good at playing well with others, right?’
It’s a Barbie world for Branson and Natalie
Natalie Roseham, who captivated Prince Harry in his carefree bachelor days has found a man who still loves to party.
The Sky Sports presenter, 45, is pictured with her legs atop Sir Richard Branson, 73, at a barbie-themed bash on Necker Island in the Caribbean, which is owned by billionaire Virgin tycoon.

Branson dressed up as Ken, wearing turquoise shorts and a vest with the name “Ken” on it, while brunette Pinkham wore a blonde wig to mimic Barbie.
“Happy to admit that blondes do indeed have more fun,” she jokes.
They were joined in the British Virgin Island by Sir Richard’s daughter Holly, who is a close friend of Pinkham, as well as pop singer Natalie Imbruglia.
Upscale bookmaker Fitzdares, founded by Lord (Zac) Goldsmith and friends including George Osborne’s uncle James, opened what it described as “the world’s most luxurious sports club” in London in 2020. But after being kicked out of the Mayfair venue earlier this year, the club is now also leaving its temporary home in Belgravia, I hear.
