EDEN CONFIDENTIAL: Never fear, ladies! No ring for Zendaya yet as Tom Holland’s father reveals the Spider-man star won’t be walking down the aisle anytime soon
This will please the young women who gather at the stage door every evening after Tom Holland performs in Romeo & Juliet…
Because the Spider-Man star won’t be walking down the aisle anytime soon, says his father.
It was recently reported that Tom, who turns 28 next week, and Hollywood superstar Zendaya, 27, had discussed marriage.
But comedian Dominic Holland says: ‘They’re a happy couple, so who knows? But there are no marriages in the Dutch household yet.’
Fame has not gone to Tom’s head, emphasizes Holland, who lives in Kingston Upon Thames.
‘Tom has three brothers and a father and mother who do not treat him differently. We all want our children to do well. But I always try to keep him down to earth.’

She was the youngest ever principal dancer at the Royal Ballet before becoming a judge on Strictly. Could Dame Darcey Bussell’s next move be mayoralty?
I’m just asking because her husband, former stockbroker Angus Forbes, is leading a campaign for a directly elected mayor in Plymouth, Devon, where the couple own a house.
A referendum requires signatures from 5 percent of voters.
“A directly elected mayor puts people and places above politics,” says Forbes. ‘This is the future. To create a space and chance for Plymouth to really show its potential.”

Anne: Why I couldn’t be Queen of Mean today
Anne Robinson was known as The Queen of Mean when she hosted The Weakest Link and says the BBC would never accept her rudeness to contestants these days.
“I couldn’t express my taste in it anymore,” she tells Saga magazine.
‘It would be completely politically unacceptable. You can’t say to people, ‘Why are you fat? Do you think you’re eating too much?’
The 79-year-old, who hosted the quiz show until 2012, added: ‘We’ve all become far too sensitive.’
Today it is hosted by comedian Romesh Ranganathan, a leading mental health advocate who ran this year’s London Marathon in aid of the Campaign Against Living Miserably charity campaign.

Jonathan Yeo’s fiery red portrait of King Charles has divided critics, but it clearly got people talking.
The Philip Mold Gallery in Pall Mall, London, where it has been on display for a month, has been swamped with visitors.
“We already had 350 people on Friday morning,” says Mold.
‘After it’s with me, it goes to Buckingham Palace. We think it will be on display there this summer.’

Revealed, 60th birthday gift that left Diana’s brother in tears
Turning 60 can be a reason to celebrate. But Earl Spencer, who reached the milestone yesterday, was, I hear, overcome with emotion.
Princess Diana’s younger brother threw a party at Althorp House, his family home in Northamptonshire, and one particularly poignant gift left the historian in tears.
“I had thirty friends and family over to stay this weekend,” Charles Spencer explains. ‘On Saturday a friend took me to the lake at Althorp.
‘Her husband handmade this amazingly beautiful canoe for me over many months as a surprise. I cried when I saw it. It’s almost too beautiful to paddle.
‘The man said, ‘I thought it would be useful if you visit your sister.’ What an overwhelmingly beautiful thought.’
The canoe is pictured on the shore next to Oval Lake at Althorp, the 13,000-acre estate where Charles and Diana grew up with their two sisters.
Diana was buried on a small island in the middle of the lake, accessible only by boat.
Althorp is open to the public in July and August, the anniversaries of Diana’s birth and death. Visitors can leave floral tributes and letters to Diana at a memorial near her resting place.
Lord Spencer explained: ‘It has been decided to bury Diana, Princess of Wales, in the grounds of Althorp Park, where her grave can be properly cared for by her family and visited in privacy by her sons.’
He originally planned to lay Diana to rest in the family graves at a local church, but said he was “concerned” for her safety.
Spencer’s relationship with Diana was tense at times. She asked him for a cottage on the estate, the Garden House, as a ‘bolthole’ in 1993, and his refusal to grant her request came as a shock.
He feared, possibly with good reason, that his family would suffer from police and media interference.
In fact, he offered her several alternative homes on the sprawling estate, but she accepted none.

He’s the TV adventurer who gets chased by lions and pulled underwater by snakes, but Bear Grylls says men shouldn’t be afraid to cry.
‘The last time I cried? Watched the Bradley Cooper movie Maestro last night,” said the Chief Scout, 49.
‘I cry a lot, and I cry more as I get older. If men weren’t designed to cry, we wouldn’t have tear ducts.

Hoping to see the king, Kim?
More used to drinking Cosmopolitans in Manhattan, Sex And The City star Kim Cattrall had tea at the King’s country retreat this weekend.
The actress, 67, and her boyfriend, Russell Thomas, a radio engineer 14 years her junior, visited Sandringham, where the royal family spends Christmas.
“A lovely day out,” said Liverpool-born Cattrall, who said she and Thomas watched the coronation together.
Unfortunately Charles wasn’t at Sandringham so Kim will have to make a return visit.
