EDEN CONFIDENTIAL: Emma Corrin wants to be called ‘Mx’ instead of Miss or Ms in The Crown star’s new non-binary honorific
Princess Diana went from lady to princess, but Emma Corrin, who played her in The Crown, is pushing for an even rarer title.
I hear that the star has announced that Emma now wants to be called Mx Corrin instead of Miss or Ms, as some feminists used to prefer.
“It’s part of a new identification of non-binary,” a friend explains.
Mx was developed in the late 1970s as an alternative to “gendered” honorifics such as Mr. and Mrs. and is said to be the most common gender-neutral title among people who identify as non-binary.
In formal confirmation of Corrin’s wishes, Companies House published an update this week with the actor’s details.
It reported that the director of Playroom Pictures, the company that used to funnel Corrin’s earnings, is now Mx instead of Miss.

Corrin, 28, (pictured at the 2023 premiere of The Crown) is dating Rami Malek, the actor best known for playing Freddie Mercury in the Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody and a villain in the James Bond film No Time To Die.

Corrin used a topless photoshoot in 2021 to come out as ‘non-binary’ and updated the gender profile on photo-sharing website Instagram to use the pronouns ‘they/them’. “It’s all a journey, isn’t it,” Corrin said. ‘Lots of twists and changes and that’s okay! Embrace it.’
Corrin follows in the footsteps of pop singers Sam Smith and Demi Lovato, who previously announced that their pronouns had become “they.”
Corrin, who starred in Lady Chatterley’s Lover and won a Golden Globe for portraying Diana in Netflix’s royal drama, also spoke about wearing a coffin folder.
Chest binding is common among people who want to give the appearance of a flatter chest. Corrin gave no reason as to why he chose to wear one.
Zara warms up for polo hot shot Nacho
Every January, Zara Tindall escapes the cold by traveling Down Under for a lucrative gig at the Magic Millions horse racing meeting and auctions.
And this year the Olympic medalist, 42, was joined on the Gold Coast by Hollywood star Elsa Pataky, 47, wife of Australian heartthrob Thor actor Chris Hemsworth.
However, Princess Anne’s daughter seemed much more excited to meet dashing polo player Ignacio ‘Nacho’ Figueras, 46, a close friend of her cousin Prince Harry.
Zara is an ambassador for horse auction house Magic Millions.
She has traveled to the event most years since 2013 and has previously said she enjoys going to Australia in winter because Britain is “gloomy in January”. She’s not wrong…

Eco Ellie goes on holiday
After using her guest editorship of Radio 4’s Today program to preach about the environment, Ellie Goulding has rewarded herself with an extended holiday.
The singer, 37, flew 5,000 miles to Costa Rica with Ford Models heiress Alessandra Balazs, 34, and actress Emily Wickersham, 39. “Pura Vida (Pure Life),” she wrote online alongside this photo of the trio.
Ellie, UN Environment Ambassador, says: ‘Many green people must be hypocrites because we don’t live in a world where people can be completely green and guiltless.’

Camilla is the royal fan of the Rebus writer
Before he was knighted last year, crime writer Sir Ian Rankin admitted he was ‘hugely disappointed’ that it would not be Queen Elizabeth who would carry out his investiture.
She had died three months after he was inducted into the Queen’s Birthday Honors list. However, Queen Camilla has offered the Inspector Rebus author some solace by inviting him to the debut edition of her podcast, The Queen’s Reading Room, to talk about his life and career.
Former Top Gear presenter Tiff Needell is getting excited about plans to turn England’s oldest petrol station into a house.
The owners of Grade II listed Glendore, in the Golden Valley village of Turnastone, Herefordshire, applied for planning permission last November. It was first used as a gas station in 1919 and the antique pumps still stand in the front yard.
‘The oldest existing petrol station in England should be preserved as such. It should be a museum.
‘Where is the imagination? No house, please. Madness,” Needell honks.
Angela Rippon’s high-kicking turn on Strictly Come Dancing at the age of 79 has given hope to Absolutely Fabulous star Harriet Thorpe. Speaking about the BBC show’s producers, the 66-year-old actress said: ‘It’s up to them. Of course I’d love to do Strictly. I can do the splits, and I did them a few weeks ago.” When asked whether she needs to warm up beforehand, Thorpe, who played Fleur in Ab Fab, says: ‘No darling, because I grew up in the eighties.’
